- Crazy replies to GDS falsifying information about comp.| 2 repliesWhy bother informing BTQ when even their own magazines are not circulated and they are just as bad as GDS.
- No Way replies to Crazy| 1 replyI would not be surprised if BTQ or AIM as they are known started this blog.
- Jason Green (AKA Oompa Loompa) replies to Frodo Baggins (Muppet)Haha well we don't have any proof do we, if we did it would be very easy to put an end to the slander on this forum! In fact, thats why if anyone challenges us we will not even take them to court for payment because we are all crooks!
- OH MY GOD...........have you guys seen the new summit websites? where it says about the sunnits they got the managers of the events actually pitching real time in a streaming format, Ive seend almost everything now!!
- Red Flag| 1 replyHere is an excerpt from one of their event websites:
"The CFO Healthcare Summit 2010 will once again serve as an arena for senior level executives to engage in clear and focused dialogue with their peers and examine their management objectives in a relaxed and vibrant environment."
Source: http://www.cfohealthsummit.com/
My question is how can you use the word "once again" when this is the first time you are doing this event? And how can you list past and present attendees, again, when this is the first time you are doing this event?
They have done CIO Healthcare Summits before, but that's an entirely different focus.
From what it looks like, they are just leeching material of of past events focused in other areas to make it seem as though they've done this CFO event numerous times before and established some sort of relationship with the CFO's attending.
I don't get it. Browsing through this companies websites, there are numerous spelling and grammatical errors. It seems quite obvious to me that they are just cutting and pasting content in haste to put together projects tailored to entice specific audiences while failing to deliver because of lack of research planning etc.- Caller: GDS
- your not gds then no? replies to No Waywho cares who started it, the fact remains that GDS are a fraudulent company and operation who lie and cheat their way to business. Yes there is some individual bashing, but thats what some forums are for some times, lets just hope companies see this and stop working with them.
- Poor approachThese people claim that all the delegates on their websites have signed formal contracts to attend the event and have paid some sort of attendance/registration fee... thus, supposedly guaranteeing their presence.
Sounds great... except our team discovered that this couldn't be further from the truth. Out of the 6 executives we were able to get in touch with, 5 had no idea the event existed, and 1 actually was attending, but said in confidence that their was no formal contract, only a "reservation" type form that needed to be filled out so that GDS could book and pay for their accommodations. Ultimately the delegates who do attend, pay nothing and bear no out of pocket expense.
Free weekend away at a luxury resort.. not a bad deal... especially if you're a director or manager.
Suppose it could be successful for some companies, but not for the prices these people are charging! Upwards of 50K! The reason we pay our sales force is to do this, and with that 50K I could hire another salesperson who wouldn't have a problem getting these decision makers on the phone.
I mean if 20 year old college grads (and from what I've read, not necessarily a college grad) working at GDS can manage to get these C-level execs on the phone, anyone can do it!
Don't waste the time or money!- Caller: GDS Events

current trainee sales executive loveing his job- Caller: berich.com
- in for a surprise sales trainee replies to right lets lay it on the lineI cant wait until you realize that your not going to get rich and you'll be scratching nickels together for lunch money like the majority of people there... so naive to buy into the propaganda... very few people make consecutively good money there. Sure people will have a run of a few months, make some decent coin, but then when its over they are back to square one and there job is on the line because they cant replicate it.
People who sell at GDS aren't talented, they are just lucky... plain and simple...
Usually its the overly enthusiastic trainees like yourself who are the first to either quit or get sacked.. Please post on this site again in 6 months, would love to see where you stand then - fair one again| 2 repliesby the one im from the intelligent end of the human race we use pennies and pounds not nickels............ dumb yanks........ dumbs yanks who make upa good percentage of my commision ha ha
- haha replies to fair one againI hat to break it to you, but someone with your communication skills probably shouldn't be calling other people dumb. Haha, so brainwashed it makes me laugh! And, if you're only doing one deal a month, your not making that much money.. hate to break it to you.
An intelligent person, can make much more money somewhere else without dealing with the bull at GDS. Bottom line.
If your IQ level is equal to the person who posted above, please apply at GDS. If your IQ is even the slightest bit higher, move on, there's much greener pastures. I guarantee it! - New pharma mag in cardiff! replies to Red FlagStrangely enough the new pharma/ healthcare mag based in cardiff had a readership of 38,000 execs the day it was launched.
Strange that, goes to show the level of intelligence of those who believe the company line, although it is probably due to the other kind of line they are fed in the toilet! - Fool replies to fair one again"BY THE ONE", should that not have read, " by the way".
In my experience there are plenty of intelligent people born and bread in Blighty and the States. Sadly you are not one of them! - Jessicat"Paul Conrad" called me from this # saying he works in Trump Plaza and is responsible for collecting data on network security solutions to present to his manager. When I tried to line up my engineer to meet with him he demurred, but continued to ask me a ton of questions.
Finally I figured out that someone wouldn't be asking me what IPS was if they were in our industry and asked him if we could schedule an onsite meeting to discuss his throughput needs, etc. He said he'd call me back in two hours. I went online to look up his # and found this site. FISHY, he flat-out lied to me but thankfully I only gave him info that is available on our website anyway. Still, don't appreciate him wasting my time and misrepresenting himself. I also am in sales and do not act this way so this schmuck made a choice to be a schmuck and is giving us honest salespeople a bad name.- Caller: GDS Intl

- FugazeyGDS management can be described as a classic Fugazy!
Someone who acts tough, but once separated from their crew and is singled out, backs down from any challenge! - you're deluded...| 1 replyAnyone that thinks they earn 'decent' money at GDS obviously hasn't had a job in the real corporate world...we'd eat you for breakfast but wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire. Let Blue Chip companies get on with their business- that's why they ARE blue chip and not baby poo brown. And 'Bex'- your comments have been a wonderful source of amusement you dumb bint, I'd love to see you in a boardroom meeting. We wouldn't let you clean our shoes let alone get through the door
- RE replies to GDS employeeIt's funny reading this and then remembering the girl who got fired because she tried to rewrite the pitch so it didn't have any lies in it...
If you want to root out the bad business practices.. start with rewriting the pitch, which is identical for every publication, every event...
GDS sales people are taught to "tailor" the pitch to the company they are calling at that moment ie. insert relevant analysts here, insert relevant circulation here (companies and job titles), insert relevant content here...
In fact, many times they will call lower level execs in the company to get this information prior to calling the boss
The pitch seems to good to be true because it is, it's always unique to the specific prospect. Many sales people when describing what article the prospects advert will be positioned with, will read directly off the prospects website for content
In order to get through to the "boss" they say they were referred to them by a top analyst or executive from an accredited organization. Or that they were recommended to speak to them from a specific executive or organization.
In reality, a person is given a "section" which is a sepcific area of technology. They will then go to vendor lists, trade shows, etc, and print out the website of every company on that list and then begin to blindly cold call all of them.
No content, contributors, etc are secured until after all vendors have been booked. Then they tailor the content to the vendors. Publications are distributed to sponsors. In regards to the one publication that is BPA audited, the publication is sent randomly to execs.. none subscribes, none requests it, it shows up in their office and they never read it...
Also, their webstats and inquiries generated for clients are off a list they purchase. Someone in biz dev is charged with assiging names and job titles with the most relevant vendors. So if you are a Businness Intelligence vendor, you will receive the identical "leads" as all the other Business Intelligence vendors in the publication
Everything is fabricated...
And no, current GDS employees, this isn't the way things should be done or are done at any respectable company. It's a sham
It is a lie, no matter how you slice it - ...It's funny reading this and then remembering the girl who got fired because she tried to rewrite the pitch so it didn't have any lies in it...

It is a lie, no matter how you slice it - FraudNow is the time to strike:
GDS is in the Trump Building, paying roughly $38 per square foot in a 20,240 square foot space...that is a big bill... considering they moved from 33 Whitehall, an 11,000 square foot space paying $30 per square foot
How on earth, can a publishing company.. whom no one has ever heard of... who's publications no one has ever seen... make enough money during a recession... to double their rent bill and pay gross commissions to their severely under educated staff members
The only other people who are doing this are drug dealers...
Very Very questionable...
