    To see this professional company of CEO's, VP's, Directors, Managers and no junior staff working really hard and behaving like professional business people do the following;

Search GDS International on FACEBOOK. All the faces are up in lights with names, everything!

Check out the pupil dilation on these jokers, and they dont do drugs or drink? Just goes to show that previous employee posts are true about the 'jolly' that is GDS

I heard a rumour that there is somebody currently working within GDS who is actually an undercover reporter for channel 4 and has apparantly been secretly recording sales calls, meetings and the general goings on. I'm sure that if or when this airs on tv, it will be a bit of a ratings winner for some people on here.

I hear it's Donal MacIntyre!!! And he us going to be investigating how GDS is involved in illegal Whsle fishing in Japan.

I also hear that (insert wild accusation / unfounded rumour here). Must be true cause it's on here which is 100% true 100% of the time & not full of bitter ex employees at all...

I still dont get why people who still work in GDS think that those who left the company are on the dole. Man I worked in GDS for about a month whilst looking for another job - no dole cheques for me my friends - just about four times as much money as you tossers can earn!

    GDS is a joke
One of the biggest mistakes of my working life was finding an ad on career builder for a sales position at GDS.  I wish i never found it and called the number to set up the interview.   This place is awful.  The job was a joke, the people there were jokes and the working environment was a joke.  You really do lose part of your soul working there. GDS teaches you to be a phony and a self-center ego prick or [removed] and you get on the phone and put on your best acting face and you exert as much energy and confidence as possible so you can bait the prospect into your trap by using a misleading pitch.

I wish i saw this forum before i got a job there.  If GDS taught me anything is that i have to do research and make sure it is a legit place before i accept the job

    GDS is a joke
Hey job hunter my advice is not to take it.  i understand how the job market is but you would really be better of unemployed and looking for work then to work at GDS.  If you work there then you are going to realize why this forum is 35 pages long filled with negative information on this place.

    Look at the Facts
I am an ex-employee of GDS, and would like to ask a few questions. Just so you know, I enjoyed my time there and met some great friends and great people.

What is the goal and ultimate aim of this blog?

There appears to be a lot of slanderous comments aimed towards individuals on this site. From my time at GDS I met an awful lot of hard working guys. Guys who were trying hard and working thier butt off to earn comission to feed thier kids and take thier wives out for a decent meal.

The issue here is not the sales exec's or the managers, they are hard working people who are under pressure to perform and bring in revenue. They are guys with mortgages to pay and kids to feed. You may argue that they have been brainwashed and are in too deep. This may to an extent be true. But what is the solution? Leave? Easier said than done when you have a mortgage to pay, kids to feed and are earning good money and having a good time doing it.

If you all have great jobs and have moved on from GDS then maybe you are the fortunate ones, but there are decent hard working people at GDS. There are some unsavoury practices that occour, and a culture of drink and drugs but when you a have a workforce of people aged 23-30 in high pressure jobs what do you expect?

The issue I have is that a lot of posts on this site are clearly from people who were bitter at the company. Why direct posts at hard working individuals? If you have such a major issue with the products and policies that GDS adopts as its business model. Why not write an e-mail or letter or even phone the upper management and vent your anger at the management who live a life of luxury as opposed to hard working sales guys and managers who have bills to pay and targets to hit.

I am an ex-gds and it was a great place, their magazines are real, and everything is real, if you simply had a bad experience, then keep it to your self. This company is fantastic. Do you believe that if their scammed so many people they where still in business don’t you think  that everyone would catch on  by now? Please use some intelligence before posting this load of none sense, and no need to reply with harsh words. I have better thinks to do then bad mouth other people who are making so much money, I tell you what, go away and create a company generates so much revenue as this company and then you can talk. Products are great, mistakes where made, they where fixed, everything is real, get over it, there is nothing to see here.

Wow, you have no idea my friend... no idea. You are either 1.) ridiculously naive or 2.) a current GDS employee

If you have to lie on the phone, it's because you have no sales skills, or have a crap product. Simple as that. Maybe thats the problem. If GDS stopped hiring every hack of the street, they might have a better rep.

I don't know if the mags go out or not, but they defnitely look great. From what I've seen the events are pretty damn good. So why all the lying and shady business? My guess, poor sales people.

PS. It isn't big ticket sales... selling sponsorships for 50K, c'mon now... what a joke.

Im not going to argue with you mate. but let me ask you...while you were there, how much money (if any) did you make?

Big Ticket deals are anything above £20k and high end sales roles are roles where there is a potential to earn £80k and above. and as far as I know, the potential is there.

I am not an employee of GDS and I am not naive, I have over 5 years of experince in high end Telesales / stockbroking and I only go where there is money. I could smell the money when I walked in. All im going to say is that deep down in most of these peoples hearts, they knew they could never sound as good as the people doing deals and could never cope in the long term. I have read a couple of the threads on this blog and a couple of them have left sales completely...what does that say???

If you want security, go work for the council, if you want money and a high standard of living, go into sales, as I said its not for the faint hearted

Why is the only good news about GDS written by GDS:
    http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/the-b ... 0-78212777.html

Wonder if they got the permission to use these guys' names... Not that the law requires it or anything like that, but out of plain business courtesy

are you for real replies to Take me to GDS
Are you taking mind altering drugs that make you see an alternative reality or have just swallowed thier bs?

It's not how it is - I know, I spent 4 years there. 95% of the sales floor clear one deal a month thats anything between $2,000 & $5000 so on your base comms your only clearing an extra 500 a month which after tax is 350.

Who ever told you the average deal is 20k is [***] you big time.

Go work there for a month then come back and say your sorry for being a [removed]!

These are all guys that have been lined up for a pr meeting with any number of advertising PR comapnies. It just so happens that they have had a slot with meet the boss!
Nothing too amazing  on that front, i doubt very much if these guys have any real interest in who they are talking to, just that they are geting the corporate statement across through as many channels as possible.

I feel pretty confident they did not go "cap in hand" to GDS for a spot with GDS!

Im betting a current GDS employee. They seem to have taken a different tack of debunking this site recently! As a number of ex GDS employees and prospective meat for the grinder are singing their praises!

Of Course You Are replies to Take me to GDS
What planet do you live on my friend. As you said you were a broker, your broker fee and procuration fee would add up to many thousands on every deal. Big ticket is not 20k and high end sales is not categorised by earning 80k, it is the deal size! 20k deals are tiny, a forklift for example costs 30k and I know guys who sell fleets of trucks every year and earn far in excess of six figures. That is capital equipment, which is very different to this [***]!

You will not earn 80k unless you are one of the anointed and also this job would drive you crazy if you are used to working in a market place environment with continually changing fascets to your position!

You are clearly not a finance guy, you would not plan a career here if you were! Go back to selling time shares! It seems that would suit your mentality and level of intelligence!

They're just trying to cover up their [***] from all the bad press they are receiving from the NY Post, NY Daily News, etc.

You know, people can say literally whatever they want about sexual harrassment ("it happens everywhere!!") or lying over the phone ("you have to lie in phone sales!!").  Well too bad, because it's illegal.  Sexual harassment is illegal, and pretending to be the [executive position] of [Fortune 500 company] is fraud, which is also illegal.

Despite saying this, I honestly thought GDS would never go down, but seeing the recent press, I believe they might.  I wish Lobna got in touch with some ex employees, because they could have a massive class-action suit on their hands.

I remember being told I couldn't wear flat shoes because Rob Davis didn't like it.  I mean, there's a big difference between business attire (which can include a nice pair of flats) and "I have a high heel fetish."

    Do something
I wish someone on this forum would do something about their concerns of GDS...

Maybe somebody should get in touch with Saudi Aramco and let those guys know who GDS are and what they are about, and how they have fraudulently used their 'good' name to scam businesses.

Saudi Aramco would swat this company like a fly, I know for a fact that the CEO or VP is in one of GDS's latest fake magazines... SOMEONE ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING GOD DAMN IT!

GDS insider replies to Do something
Yes that is true, I thing there is an interview with him or something, they have also had some of their bosses at their events too. Saudi Aramco are one of the most influential companies in the world, if you get on the wrong side of them, being a company of GDS's size and type. They would get crucified! I would get a magazine out but not sure how to source one.. Any ideas on this anyone?
