The view from the other end of the phone...

First, I am sick and tired of people called from GDS using false names and saying that their company name is actually the title of the magazine they are trying to flog sponsorship in.  

Second, the sales pitch is so BORING and always the same.  Where do they get these monkeys from?

Third, we don't have any dealings with GDS on principle given that their sales antics and ethics leave lots to be desired, and yet despite repeated efforts to ask the various faces of GDS NOT to call, they continue to do so.  

Bottom line - if you are a half-decent company, do NOT do any business with this company.  Whether it is Business Management Europe, MeetTheBoss.com or anyother of their numerous titles, you're WASTING YOUR MONEY.

I doubt you are a real person or you would have put your name and company. Probably another bitter ex-employee.

Un-credible? No 1 a bit ironic since all of you at GDS spend your entire working days pretending to be someone else, someone more credible, a boss, not someone fresh out of uni....

No 2 its not even a real word you GDSers oookk ....didn't you see the spell check ? And then they complain about badly written posts!!

No 3 Nobody here has to give their real name or the name of their business... I mean GDS never does...they all pitch under Dr this VP of that, the now old, mundane and classless Boiler Room tricks!

Get a Job you can be proud of....Not selling a fake image someone pushed down your throats!

If so= the 25 million pound Question is WHY DO YOU HAVE SO MANY?

Whatever is the case, business owners, bitter ex disgruntled employees, secretaries, competition,...lets face you will find plenty of real life stories about GDS here and on the net, and you plonkers still don't stop to ask why? why so many issues?

GDS is the most hated telesales Company in the World....!

John I am an ex employee but not bitter just find it funny that you are so hurt by ex employee speaking the truth I worked for GDS for 6 months when I was a kid before I went travelling and found the experience on the whole quite enjoyable however it is a job you do when your a kid a con quick money one hit if there thick enough to sign the contract then awesome. I find it funny you can drop from 20k to 6k in 5 minutes surely that shows you the product your selling has no value when we were taking home 17.5% in commision. It is only a matter of time as they get bigger and con more people it will attract more unwanted attention. Until then make your money, lie, stand on your feet all day and pretend you love doing it but dont worry its all worth it at the end of the week when they take you to that cool bar and you get befriended by 30-40 year old Bullies that have been there for 10 years+ who still pretend there 25 and there somthing to look up to what a joke.

Haha this is one of the funny I have ever seen I never worked there but had friends that did and they said it was basically bad car crash telly. Bunch of sad freaks walking round bullying kids.

I'm seriously considering turning down my offer,
I just graduated from a top three uni in the UK, speak spanish fluently as I grew up there and was born in the US so they seemed to jump on me.

Im in the exact same position, i was just typing GDS into google to show my family after my job offer and we noticed that it predicted GDS scam, now im up alone reading all this and things make sense,
the money, the people standing up, the male to female ratio

I will calling tomorrow to turn down my offer with a heavy heart, an empty person but a clear conscience and intact stomach lining

As it is, just put the phone down on a Brandon who called me from the NY office.  It's a game now, I let them prattle on for a good ten minutes, put the phone receiver down on the desk and then just say "we don't do business with GDS. Full stop."  

If GDS wants to waste my time, I will gladly waste their telesales' time, too.

I feel bad for all the idiots who work for these scumbags ...wake up you didn't go to college for four years to be a telemarketing liar ...did you? I worked there years ago and actually have a buddy who just left the company bc he heard a man from the DA office was working there undercover recording conversations and training sessions to bring these guys down, I strongly suggest anyone working there leave before the end of the year

People on here need to get a life. I'm at GDS making big money. Christmas prize for top salesman is $30,000! Old employees on here moaning and bad mouthing the company are clearly just bitter they are missing out - probably cause you got the sack for not being good enough! So shut the moaning... However I reckon I'll have one or two losers having a pop at me. Bring it losers!

There are many people posting on here who have had the misfortune to believe the hype, spin, lies and general bullsh*t fed to them by GDS telesales teams, as well.  Yes, there are some ex-employees on here, but there are some ex-customers here too, so be very careful before you start slagging off all the posts .  Word is getting out there on your underhanded cheating ways, so you had better start saving up before GDS is put out of business for good.

The intelligent people get out. The thick people, like you, have nothing better to go to. You know its a joke....now shhhhh.

Ollie Smart seems to be the top sales boss here (and number 2 in the company?) yet in all these pages there are very few things said about him.  I am interested to hear what current and ex-employees make of him as he has just offered me a job.

I am the marketing lead for a company that has been called every year by someone from GDS. No one in my industry had ever heard of HR Management Group, yet the sales people would rattle off names of our competitors that were supposedly contracted to advertise in their HR Management Report magazine. They were lying, as I personally know the marketing director at one of the competitor companies and they confirmed they have never done business with GDS. If you have been called by GDS in any form, but specifically the HR Management magazine, here is their script:

HR Management has a circulation of 32,000 via FedEx. Whatever your related industry is, they happen to have their upcoming issue with that industry as a highlighted topic. The cost to advertise with them is going to be near $20,000. If you balk at the price, they will lower it by half. If a vendor can cut their prices in half that easily, that's not a good sign.

But wait, it gets better. Now you tell them you can't get approved for their next issue, but they can check back with you for the next one. The next time you get a call, here is what they will say:

"Hi, remember me from HR Management, well I just got out of a meeting and we hit a bit of a speedbump. One of the advertisers was acquired and will not have their new logo and information ready in time for the upcoming issue. I really need to fill this space and can get you an incredible discount."

GDS is a fraud, HR Management is a scam. There is no question about it. I know this because I have heard the exact same sales pitch every year for the past 3 years. Companies are getting burned by GDS, and badly. They act like similar companies to yours are purchasing advertising when they are not; they tell you that your industry is the big hot topic for the next issue (magically every issue is the issue for you); you can get space right next to the hot speaker CEO; and they always get out of a meeting and tell you a company backed out and now you can get a great deal. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GDS INTERNATIONAL!

So its the prospective clients and the educated ex employees who got out whilst they had any sense, who are on here.
By the way, GDS is on the slide, big time.....this time next year.....there will be no GDS. So if you're reading this and still work for them, then just make sure you have something to go to before Spencer goes.......POP!
