Wow.... I have recently been called by these young rascals (AGAIN)...(.I work in the financial industry).after reading this, it looks like a bunch of current employees fighting with ex employees on this forum, what a shame, ...my favorite part about these guys is that they do not seem to have a "do not call list" or ever heard of CRM software,  Companies like this are called "chop shops" , except they are selling false publishing instead of equities. These companies are everywhere on the street and they are all the same: ignorant young minds under age 30, influenced by the drive of sex, money, and invincibility. Usually these companies work in a fashion where upper management have golden parachutes and all the risk are on anyone not at a C level (of sorts) but to the ones in management positions through out the ladder.(if the company was to go down) Next time they call from FST or GDS..just say no!!

Thanks so much to all of you who have posted about this "company".   Over the past three days, I have received no less than a dozen calls on my cell phone from a caller ID of 212-796-2000.  None of which I have answered since I was not familiar with this number and no voice mails were left. Curious, I set up my Blackberry to restrict my identity and returned the call.  Yep, you guessed it.  GDS International.  Not knowing who they were I Googled and found all of you.  Thank you for saving me the aggravation.

Oh my GOD! did you guys know that GDS is opening or HAS opened an office in ASIA? I almost got duped by the ad / sent  application for vacancy!

should I just ignore  it and move on?  Im scared  after  reading all the information on GDS!

Okay for any of you ex employees in the UK is there ANYONE we can report these scumbags to? I worked there and I know that every magazine isn't even audited like they claim they are.

Can someone also please do the math? 60,000 circulation FED EXED to it's readers? Can you imagine the cost involved with that? Even if it was £2 per magazine it would cost £120,000 before the mags were even printed! (Not that they are I might add!) The magazines only end up with around £120-£175K of ad space sold by the end of it all so once you take the cost out of shipping all those mags as well as printing it really doesn't leave any money at all left over does it? Lets all get a reality check please current employees of GDS.

What this company is doing is highly illegals and to be honest Spencer Green should be locked up and put behind bars for fraud if you ask me.

Please can someone let me know who we should report this company to? Is there actually anything being done with the NY DA's office as I am of the understanding that place is as corrupt as GDS itself.

Ollie is Jim Craven only a few years younger....he is the worst! Good liar, two faced, dosen't give a about anyone! He goes back to the old GDS days when they did some outrageous things and made up some ridiculous lies and always got away with things.....Just like a coach roach still surviving Glen, Ziggy all history he is still deluding himself...  

Ollie was my trainer and I really got to know him....a real and absolute piece of sh....wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire!

While I'm not with the New York city, county  or state Attorneys offices (no such thing as the "NY DA office,") I have worked with them over many years as a member of the US Department of Justice and can absolutely assure you they are not corrupt--quite to the contrary.   In fact all have international reputations for successfully prosecuting organized crime, drug and financial crimes, just to name three.   Really, you have to stop watching bad gangster films.

I am wondering. If it's such a scam, why do educated people, from fortune 500 companies attend their events, and then resign for additional events? Do they think, "wow, I run a billion dollar business, and love to get taken for a ride"? Or is it that they actually get a return for the money they spend? hmmmm

Because they do not check the circulations claims, nor the leads claims, nor have an idea of the Company ads... its Boiler Room Scams...watch boiler room its always the clever ones who get taken for a ride the hardest....  !!!

And I always said this...events are the softer side of the Beast...the con is half apparent, some of them are fun and turn out ok! Some content is ok, some marketing is a hit and miss, some meet the boss interviews are getting there,...

The Circulation claims, the culture is the worst, the sales methods are prehistoric, the plagiarism off of Gartner is outrageous, the sexual harassment are ripe..in GDS you will learn the ways of brainwashing and lying....Legitimate businesses do not do whats those snakes oil sales vultures do!

This company is simply SCUM !  they phone lieing and cheating to gain personal phone numbers.  Their techniques are literally disgusting !  I would have no sway with them simply due to the techniques they use.  I am regulalry phoned by a guy "stuck at Heathrow with a broken Blackberry and needing to urgently contact my CEO "  it is laughable !  they guy get very angry when I out him as a GDS liar !  LOL

I will block this # on all my phones right this minute.  I saw that they sent threats from the UK to this site (800 notes) because we all are allowed to post complaints on here about scammers.  Then stop calling everyone and scamming them GDS and we won't have to post how awful you are to consumers!

GDS is going down.....only a matter of time.....

I worked for GDS for a few years and had to get out. I had beccome a liar and a cheat, literally selling products that were really bending the truth.. The money for sales is good and you are paid well for deals you make. The downside is the pathectic management team, the constant shouts of 'get on the phone' and the drink & drug culture. I had become very bored of selling sponsorships of events to delegate lists that are simply made up and dont exist and magazines that are circulated to a significantly lower percentage that we were told to say. You will lose your soul at GDS, but dont worry you will be paid 7.5 comission on every succesful lie!!

Bad dealings with HR Management Report / GDS owned company this past month. David started calling the CEO, not the person he should speak with about purchasing advertising space, he was very polite the first two calls.  He left his full name and phone number in NYC.  I talked to our CEO to confirm and politely redirected David to call the Marketintg Department. Continuous calls came in from same number in NYC since the CEO was not there I caught many of them, he hung up on me.  Then he started also harrassing the President who is out of the office for several weeks. I caught several of those calls and was also hung up on.  

Then Stephanie from same company started calling. Polite at first, would not leave messages or phone number. Then the "anonymous" calls started coming in and constant hang up calls throughout the day.  

Yesterday Stephanie called pretending to be from Pfizer using a fake name, and very perturbed that CEO was late for a conference call with her, she demanded to be put through right away.  Since he was on another scheduled call I asked for her full name and phone number which started off quickly as 212...then faded off to a number she obviously made up.  Like a 12 year old would stumble making up a lie.  I hung up and immediately dialed that number, it was not an active phone number--big surprise.

They are rude and pushing and harrasing and I just reported them to the Better Business Bureau, I suggest you all do the same TODAY.

What does it say about the company when NONE of their links to contact someone do not work?

You work for a very scummy company, rude harrassing and stupid.  Would like for Stephanie to call me again, my coworkers will get an earful after her lying on the phone yesterday.

aah the classic GDS response to criticsim is clearly displayed above. The salesperson has been unable to lie and scam his way through to the CEO and now has taken his frustration on the humble hardworking secretary. Her job is to protect her CEO from sales calls, she has succeded and you have failed in your attempt. She has won so you have now called her job 'pathetic'. She is obviously doing her job impeccably well, you are not. Calling, hanging up, lying and scamming to get a boss on the phone to pitch him on a fictional magazine? You are the pathetic one Im afraid.

How are these people not locked up??? Im friends with a bloke from the states who worked there and recorded their techniques and teachings........... same as here in Bristol , "Get on the phone, stick to the script and pitch the CEO!!!!"
