GDS is not legit. GDS Publishing is a scam. How else do you think they achieve growth? Especially growth they claim and brag about to those naive little children, 'their critical mass'? Its all scammed. But there're good scams and there're bad ones! Their publications was a clear example of bad scam, because they never went out to anyone and never delivered on any leads while they put all that expectation on those innocent kids to sell their porkie pies for them.

GDS Summits is an example of a good scam...Meetthebosstv is a good scam.

Look how much effort they've put on the pR front to try and hide their tracks about legitimate complaints.
Look how much work they've put in and complaints to Google so that the next suggested word after GDS International Publishing is not SCAM. Look at their behavior. Look at their CEO. Look at what business people really say. Look at other blogs like gdsinternationalscam.com. Look at rippoff.com.

Really do you research because I KNOW they've been working hard to hide a lot of info and hide their tracks from investors.

Yeah GDS is really trying hard to Fight the info war...but they've gor half of cardiff, 3/4 of bristol, 1/4 of New York and Google, Gartner, Yahoo and others against them..

The key here is to sound convincing, make it real..as if this is actually happening to you.

Other ways they teach yu is to pretend you work for the company and have "lost your blackberry" and need to contact so and so RIGHT NOW. And if that does not work, call offices all over the world until you get what you want.

I have read every post on this thread, and the issues are somewhat skewed.  The lying to get numbers is something that needs to be done as lets face it people are paid to prevent you from talking to the boss, if you get an over eager secretary then you will know only to well that you have to do what it takes to get past her to talk to the right person.

GDS is not exclusive using this method, charities themselves use the phrase "Don't pitch the [***]", is it wrong, of course, but it is necessary and I can't fault them for that.

Having employees stand, this is another one of those things that I have struggled with, but then again  based on the recent research that those who sit about on the phone and at keyboards are 85% more likely to be obese and suffer cancer and heart problems.

All the medical journals talk about it and say that you should stand up whilst talking on the phone or reading lengthy emails, documents or websites.  You burn 90 more calories an hour standing up that you do sitting down. (I had an email the other day about a treadmill desk)

I appreciate that GDS were not likely to be considering the above and it was more of a "POWER THING", regardless, it most likely has done more good than bad.

What the issues are is that GDS could have come and addressed these issues in a professional manner, however all they have done is intimidate those who they suspect of posting comments and try to fight the issues instead of accepting them and moving on.

GDS have pissed off a lot of people, and its to be expected given the environmental conditions created within the office.  TRUST NO ONE, comes to mind, WATCH YOUR BACK is another entry in the GDS manual.

When all is said and done they will deceive others and will themselves be deceived.

GDS will continue to be successful, however there is always a price to be paid, and I do wonder if Spencer considers the price he pays daily.

I am sure he has enough to keep him in a life he is accustomed to, and I do often wonder why he does not close up and move on, and while ironic coming from a former employee who would be seen as not moving on, it is somewhat poetic.

Personally, the Success or Failure of GDS to me is redundant.  I had some great times and some equally dark times.  I realised the company it was very early and I chose to stay on for a good few years, but karma caught up with me and opportunity came knocking.

I left happy, and I do feel for those who allow GDS to be a continued source of pain, when in fact they should rejoice that you are free of the tyranny and that each day you spend away from them, is a day less of bad karma.

Working at GDS does have a price to pay, and there are those who feel they are nothing without it, then you have those who flourish in spite of it.

If I could offer one true piece of advice to those who allow their lives to be consumed with the hate and contempt for GDS, simply move on, be thankful and while a bitter pill to swallow, know that no matter how great it looks, and how good the money was, it would never of made you happy.

Pity them, but don't waste your hate on them.  Hate is all consuming and eats a way at you, if your not careful it will take over your life.

These GDS revisionist and appeasers go on about some middle way- that's not right. What GDS do is [***] your mind...We and the Clients they've cheated have a right to get the word out there. Forget Spencer, but look at the cheap cult psychology they trick people with..

They build you up when your a trainee. Tell you a lot of waffle, mambo jambo, pipe dreams, pie in the sky targets, promises of riches..seduce some with money, some literally and physically.

Then reality sets in-No one in their Right Minds would buy from GDS based on truth or without A Lot of Mendacity, Trickery, Promises, and bait and switch tactics..  

We do not hate GDS..but I hate what happened to some real good people there......We never cared for standing up or all that crap...But we hated lying like its the only way to sell especially in GDS. I don't hate the so called successful studs at GDS, but I hate giving them the power and authority to tell me what Real life and Real business is all about..as if they'd or Spencer for that matter would know!

Please save all your advice for Spencer.....and Olly and the Clients like Oracle and others whom I personally scammed for them....Tell them to seek out psychological types who do not mind lying, ask them to profile their own candidates and hire more sociopaths like Olly and Jim, because normal people will speak out...!

Save your philosophizing, if GDS is not offering value, if GDS International is a Scam and we all know that they are...we must warn companies, in a passionate manner, of what they are, who they are, how they operate and what they're up to.

There are no comparisons......GDS is in a League of their own.....Its a Scammers scam...They'll put any second hand car sales man to shame and make mince meat out of his operations. In fact that's the types that GDS HR should be hiring.

As far as hate goes...to lie to someone daily, use people, build up false hope and false pride, to do that GDS must really truly hate their own people. Period.

We know for a fact that after people found out they've been misrepresented, quoting partnerships and name dropping illegally GDS they've shat a brick and stopped. (Probe a little.....Director huh? Where did you study? What year did you graduate? where did you work prior)

(Have them elaborate, It's your field, you will quickly find they just took a press release for your company and are throwing your words at you as a hook)

Bottom Line: GDS does put on events, and people do show up to them, with that said; The delegation is lied to in order to get their attendance, and they usually are not there to buy anything. You must question everything they say. Lying is the company norm, and they will make up things on the fly to hook you. I am not saying not to do business with them, if you choose to do so, HOLD THEIR FEET TO THE FIRE, you will quickly see how the whole ball of lies unravels.

Even those lies are a huge improvement.....man what we did in my years was  riot compared to this (don't get me wrong still sounds like same scam new  bottles) but still you lot should of read our script. FST Financial Services Technologies, scripts by the now CEO, man we quoted EU, name dropped Gartner, name dropped people as giving us interviews etc etc etc....

But yeah you can always negotiate them down to almost nothing (shows how much they really value themselves), we always tried to create urgency, always shouted till the other persons asked us to stop yelling, and just read back saying that we will talk about what their company did (straight out their own page) as saying that that is what our authority (who wasn't even giving the interview) would talk about. Promise some leads, bam, of to the boozer to pull the birds, if can't find go for the office ones. Drink yourself silly go to work hang over on 4 hours sleep and do it all over again.

So I see some evolution..well done Spence and Olly you lot are getting sophisticated in deed.

What it has done is destroy the name GDS International as every search returns hundreds more associated keywords like SCAM.

GDS have sponsored the keyword so much that it ranks higher and is more saturated than its own name.

What on earth were they thinking?

The fact of the matter is that gds have done this to themselves. They've angered so many people tht something like this was bound to happen. Its incredibly short 'sighted of them to think that all the people they've used were just going to go away quietly. The posts here are ultimately nobody's fault but their own.
The mags have been pulled, Kuala Lumpur has gone belly up, and they've been shafted by the Aussies. It would be tragic if it wasn't so funny. Spencer must be feeling the ground shifting under his feet, and gds's response smacks of desperation.
I worked there in 2004, and they had an offce in Bristol, on in ny, and somewhere else, can anyone jog my memory as to where it was?
