In keeping with the company's inherent interest in maintaining best business practices, they've been keeping apprised of the common and uncommon threats to financial security. It's within everyone's best interests to make sure that businesses and individuals stay on the right side of scams and fraudsters so that the economy can strengthen itself, especially in times of hardship. So the Scam-Busters over at GDS have been releasing a series of articles and publications designed to educate, reassure and explain the details of the rouses that are most likely to catch a person out.

Despite their efforts earning a bit of negative attention from search engines for 'word association', GDS ploughs on. It can be disconcerting to think that there are countless people the world over intent on taking your money or stealing your identity. Rest assured though that there are also people over at GDS International who are just as determined to route out any potential scams and draw attention to them as to limit the damage they're able to inflict.

I have to agree with Whistlers Post simply because everyone lies daily, it is therefore hypocritical to focus on the issue of lying to get a number.  I am not saying that it is right or ethical, just that it does really happen in most companies, not just at GDS.

If you are going to rant, then by all means do, however change the record and read the entire thread as it was written, Whistler made some good points even if she did preach a little.

GDS paid tens of thousands of dollars for SCAM to  come up with their articles instead of negative ones  ha...

I have recently invested heavily into one of GDS International's events and then found this site. I take a lot of the comments with a pinch of salt as many of the comments seem to come from ex-employees and a lot of the comments are old but does anyone have any concrete proof that their events are "scams"? I would very much like to see this.

You are either a GDS employee........or one of their "sponsors" who was duped... any business would have done the proper due diligence before cutting a check to these SCAM ARTISTS..which makes me almost certain you are a GDS manager of some sorts, if you are not post your email address and I will contact you on how to get out of the contract immediately.

GDS is in the con business of SCAMMING CORPORATE EXECUTIVES - bottom line.  The organization is run by British and American frat boys in their twenties, family members, neighbors and girlfriends.  These boys and girls are all about the con, AND MUST BE STOPPED.  If you hear the word "SUMMIT", run!  If they tell you to pull up the website, don't!  Your computer will be spammed.

They pay cash and gifts to high-profile "DELEGATES" to attend their events at 5-star hotels.  The Delegates are bought and used to CON executives into forking over $20,000-60,000 to speed date with them.  The Delegates attend, meet executives and pretend to be interested in what the "solution providers" are selling when in fact, they most often have no intent to buy.  Everything GDS is about, start to finish, is a lie.

The Delegates are said to be contractually bond to attend.  What GDS doesn't say is that oftentimes the executives pull out before the event anyway when they find out who GDS really is, or don't think the pay is worth risking their credibility.  So if you pay to attend their events, you end up meeting with a bunch of substitutes anyway.  Don't be fooled.

She or He..made apologies, justifications and validations for GDS practices which really don't pretty much exist at any other place to the extent they exist at GDS. Its a very bad job of playing Devils Advocate, I bet she's still with GDS and loves them.
The fact that Ripoff. com, gdsinternationalscam.com, 800 notes are filled with info on the best practices @ GDS.
Can't digress and hijack the debate about this non-company that is scamming some real businesses everyday, and then pretend it was all about standing up, or some employees being disgruntle cos those are all GDS excuses. They were saying recruiters wont work with them cos they're disgruntled, then people running away was cos they were disgruntled......which is no hear no there! Before you know it we were all asking questions, why?

Fact of the matter....any trainee gets worked into the GDS system in the reverse matrix way..they give him the wrong pill and the first con they do is on the trainee (a lot of trainee mentality in the whistler). Blogs are running wild, secretaries, business owners, people from Gartner, other mags all saying how GDS is a scam....

And don't give me that 'most companies crap'.......I've worked in some of the most competitive sales environments ever, and I got news for you preaching to the choir......No its dosen't! Nothing of the sort, not even close. Competition yes, back fighting maybe, but your leads being stolen, 24 year old pretending to know life, open harassment, that kind of crap gets punished by laws!  

About 50% of what happens in GDS operations you will find in a cheap second car sales lot (same bait and switch, over promising but at least there is a Product there to see). Yet 90% of what goes on @ GDS you will not find anywhere else.

The only point is not to validate them, or excuse them, but we are here to expose them! And its working, because GDS International is a Scam, that's why we and company leaders blog here!

Whistler makes points by not making any........GDS is a SCAM...everything else is a non issue!

Left a year ago - they still owed me about £6000 in commission. So when it wasn't forthcoming, I rang the CEOs of the companies I booked (kept their mobile numbers) - told them the truth, and they withdrew from the summit, which was then binned - result.
Now....I work for one of these companies, based on me demonstrating sound integrity, and travel around Europe and the States regularly meeting with CEOs who respect the company I work for. Its amazing how many of them laugh when the letters G-D-S are mentioned.
I wont even waste time typing what a total farce the place is. Green, Smart, Stebbings, Crawford, Bradfield, Austin - total idiots to a man. www.gdsinternationalscam.com is a great bit of hacking from some bright spark, good work.
Is Goofy still there? What a tool he was, and assume still is. Total waste of ( a lot of) space.
So glad to hear of the failings in KL and now Sydney, totally deserved.

So I know that the Australian office has shrunk but has it actually shut its doors. Any info would be much appricaited as reports of the website contradict each other

First time I've seen this since I left GDS Cardiff a year ago.
Got to agree with the posts of some people on here about those people who still work there. Is it coincidence, but the decent people never stay long, but the idiots have been there for years?
The best guys I met were there for only a short period of time - they had morals, they were decent and ultimately left because working the "GDS way" contradicted with their integrity and morals.
Top guys such as Mark Allen, Paul Adams, Ben Phillips, Dave Pruett, Mike Walkingshaw, Joe Tamlin etc. etc. - all left now because the job was for muppets who lacked the class and the morals to walk away. Length of service at GDS seems to be directly proportional to how much of a pr*ck you are.
Saying that, watching the muppets at work did provide me with much entertainment.

I worked there for 8 months and to be honest learn quite a bit about sales which I've used in my new job.  Sure some guys are more aggressive than others but I found it fairly easy.

Oh i was in the cardiff office so cant comment on the other ones
