I picked it up thinking I read 212.  I have been getting too many scam calls recently.  One is too many

My call came from Windows Service Centre 1-213-221-1850

Just got off the phone with "Ryan Crawford" of California  He kept talking about "vicious" spam & emails and he will help me make my pc safe to use if I follow his directions.   I became suspicious and Googled his phone #
, as apparently so many others have done.  Scam  Scam  Scam!!!!  1-213-221-3528  is supposedly Windows Tech Dept.....NOT!  Thank you Kate for your advice!!

My neighbor fell for it, too.  About a month later she told me about the "excellent service" she got.  I told her about the scam and she took her tower to a local computer repair service.  It turned out the caller had turned off her anti-malware.  They didn't find any other problems, but some malware can be burried so deep even a professional has a hard time finding and removing it.  

My neigbor does on-line banking.  She changed all of her bank account numbers and replaced her tower.  Better safe than sorry,

call today 11-22-13 from these crooks.

got call 213-221-3528 calling about my Microsoft computer. told them don't call pretending to be a legit company when they mask the number as unknown caller, then hung up.

This is the second time I have received a call from "Windows Service Center" same man same message. Used this number, previously used 875 number. This is a SCAM. I reported both numbers to the FCC. Do not let ANYONE access your pc unless they can give you your name and the kind of pc you are using.

Typical PC virus scam. This has been going on for years. The only people who you should allow to access your computer is the manufacture of your computer and only if you call them. Microsoft doesn't do that type of support. There's no such entity as Windows Support.

Windows virus scammer called again. Records show call from Algeria. Guess it's an African virus.

This is a total SCAM message.  Just look at the grammar and you can tell that it is probably from a foreigner.   Additionally, companies do not have random access to computers to be able to detect problems.  NEVER GIVE ANYONE ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER IF YOU ARE NOT PERSONALLY IN FRONT OF THAT PERSON AND CAN SEE THEM DOING IT.  These people are liars and thieves and are just trying to get personal information from you so they can steal your money!

You have to be kidding me! Are there that many stupid people out there? Who would even believe your post? You probably can't even read this. We didn't fall for your phone call, why would we fall for you post.

Don't believe this. There is a scam going around trying to convince you that your computer is infected. Ask yourself how would they know that in the first place?  They want to get your information so they can steal from you!  Pathetic.

Received a call from 213-221-3528 - read online that it is a scam from a Computer care company that wants state you have a virus they can remove.

Man saying were sending error messages to him. No. 213-221-3528.

Just got a call from 213-221-3528; I actually didnt answer it because I didn't recognize it but googled it & found this page. Thanks for the heads up, if they call again, I'll continue to ignore it.

If you don't know the number or name, don't even answer. If you can, block the number.

I have been getting calls from this number several times a day for the past week.  When anyone answers we get a "ding" and an electronic good-bye.
