Please do not call me, I am not interested!!

We just received a call from this number after having just purchased a Dell notebook computer. Since we have caller ID, and never answer unknown numbers, their attempt to reach us will remain futile.
It is so tiring these days that every new purchase is followed up by a series of unwanted, pestering phone calls. Is the "do not call" list a joke?
Thank goodness for forums like one. We consumers have to stick together until these retailers get the hint. And if they are scammers searching for personal information, they can go eff themselves.

Definitely fishy..called them back at 5:00am (very early Pacific time)

They keep calling and do not leave a message.  I answer the phone and they don't speak.  HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This number 213-228-8970 shows up several times a day on my caller ID but never leaves a message.  I don't know who they are but would very much like for them to stop calling.

Woman claming to be from Dell asking about PC I just purchased.  It started out as a survey, then asked about my 1yr warranty.  She then started her spill about how they can upgrade my warranty for $149 and would last till 2012.  She cut me off and said she'll change the warranty right now for that price.  I told her No I didn't want it, she asked why and I told her I don't keep PCs that long.  Got really pushy at the end.  I guess I'll need to watch my account to see if there is any odd charges now.

I recently (3-4 weeks ago) purchased a Dell laptop and got two calls in a period of four hours today. I didn't answer and they left no voicemail. How unprofessional.

However, 15 months ago I purchased a Dell desktop and don't recall experiencing this.

They keep calling but do not leave a message. I tried calling them back but always busy. BS if you ask me

Dell has called me now 6 times in 2 days- I spoke to someone today and said, I'm not interested in the warrenty but they keep calling.  Even called me at 9 pm last night.

Beware, this is NOT Dell. It's a scam.

Someone called me from this number.  I thought it was someone calling about a rental that I ran in the newspaper.  My cell phone had a bad connection so I tried to call back using my home number.  It was busy for over 30 minutes.  I googled the number and found this site.  Someone did say hello, hello, hello.  I did have a signal.  Then they just hung up!  Thank you for all of you who chose to post here.  It helped.

I called Dell's customer service dept to find out if this is a legitimate Dell warranty - and they do in fact have 3rd party vendors that they use to extend your warranty.

I was concerned that someone was accessing my information. Hope this helps all of you that get this annoying phone call.

Me too, with a 5 year old Dell laptop. No message, no voice, just a hangup. I am trying to call back, but line is always busy.
