I actually got a call from a 713 area code one day, and of course they had all of my information too. I purchased the extended warranty and I'm happy to say I'm really satisfied and glad that I bought the coverage. My chevy broke down and they took car of it. I didn't pay nothing out of pocket. I would gladly recomend this place.

Just got a call from the Vehicle Processing Department -- that knows what car I drive -- just called. Stopped the fast-talking bs -- though it took several tries to stop him.
Asked 'the Vehicle Processing Department of what'? 'We're a company' then back to blahblahblah.
Asked: 'what is your phone number?'
Then he got pissed off and said rudely: 'I'm trying to tell you if you'd stopped asking 20 questions.'
    'What is your phone number?'
    He hung up.

The National Do-Not-Call Registry is down due to the federal shutdown. This is second call (Dish Network the other) I've received since it began. Think corporations are taking advantage.

I just got a call from the "vehicle processing department" from 210-807-4436. She asked to speak with me and stated she had information on the warranty for my vehicle. She knew the make, model, and year. She asked me what my mileage was, and when I asked her to repeat the company she was calling on behalf of, she repeated "vehicle processing department", thanked me for my time, and hung up on me.

Yes, even if the calls originate from overseas, IT IS ILLEGAL to cell phones.  You can collect $500 per phone call..yes..its called the TCPA.  I use it all the time to even the playing fields on these scammers.  You merely have to pretend you are interested in their services until they transfer you to the REAL call center, and then you can sue the real call center under the TCPA.....

    See below:

    47 U.S. Code § 227 - Restrictions on use of telephone equipment

    (b) Restrictions on use of automated telephone equipment
    (1) Prohibitions
It shall be unlawful for any person within the United States, or any person outside the United States if the recipient is within the United States—
    (iii) to any telephone number assigned to a paging service, cellular telephone service, specialized mobile radio service, or other radio common carrier service, or any service for which the called party is charged for the call;

    (3) Private right of action
A person or entity may, if otherwise permitted by the laws or rules of court of a State, bring in an appropriate court of that State—
    (A) an action based on a violation of this subsection or the regulations prescribed under this subsection to enjoin such violation,
    (B) an action to recover for actual monetary loss from such a violation, or to receive $500 in damages for each such violation, whichever is greater, or
    (C) both such actions.

So while you may never track down the real scammer doing the calls, they are only "lead generators" and they hot transfer to a US based company...most of them in California.  You then hold the US based company accountable under the following law:

Furthermore, in 2008, the FCC held that “a creditor on whose behalf an autodialed or prerecorded message call is made to a wireless number bears the responsibility for any violation of the Commission’s rules.”In re Rules and Regulations Implementing the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Declaratory Ruling on Motion by ACA International for Reconsideration, 23 FCC Rcd. 559, 565, ¶ 10 (Jan. 4, 2008); Birchmeier v. Caribbean Cruise Line, Inc., 2012 WL 7062748 (Dec. 31, 2012).16.Accordingly, the entity can be liable under the TCPA for a call made on its behalf, even if the entity did not directly place the call. Under those circumstances, the entity is deemed to have initiated the call through the person or entity.

So, basically the real sales company is guilty by association.  From there, you merely look up the secretary of state website and find out who the resident agent is, and file a small claims suit (costs $18.00 or so) and email and mail a copy to the real company and watch out how fast they settle!!  Easy, tax free money.

If ANYONE has the name of the company that is making the 703# calls, please call me at 571 393 1729...I never get to the phone in time when they call to trick them into revealing who they are....I want to go after them!!

If enough people do this, the calls will stop forever!!!

All the ex-workers post for Vehicle Processing Department is right. They disappoint all the customer to whom they call, because they call them millions of time for a day & to their employs not to pay on right time. In Costa Rica this company is a worse place of work.

I used to work there in the customer service department dealing with all the shady sales people. Asking for refunds and complaining that they wait so long for their money. I worked there for three months and got let go because I do not speak Spanish. Harry and Raffi are the owners, great guys. Jason Garcia tries to hip and young, but a guy with a mid life crisis.
