- ButterflyAnswered call from Burke Williams - woman with heavy accent asked if anyone in my home was diabetic. I told her I was on the National Do Not Call List, and not to call back. I then filed a complaint @ www.donotcall.gov

- JJ ThomasJust now received a call- she is not having American accent. Asked for my wife and I said she is not here, then she asked "Is she diabetic?" no, then she asked me a diabetic or not. No, I said, she was sad I said Roni is diabetic - She was happy and said I do have good news ! but I said that is my horse - she was disappointed. She cut the phone.

- gbAsked for the name I use in the phone directory, which is an alias. Told them I'm on the federal Do Not Call List and asked for their business name, which came very mumbled and soft. Told them one more call and I will report them. Let's see what happens.
- Caller: "California"
- fig| 1 reply"California" showed up on caller ID. Phone # was 213 330 2890. I did not pick up, nor did the caller leave a message. I thought that it was a bit coincidental, perhaps, that I was watching a video on YouTube about Paleo diet and MS when they called (could it be that they have some reverse directory that can see my email address, and then look up my phone #?--just a thought)
- Caller: "California"
- Shel"Unknown Name"
Silence and then what sounded like a recorded female voice saying, "Goodbye". - CharleneA woman with a indian accent called my house asking for my uncle and I told her he didn't live here and she asked for a number for him. I just hung up the phone.

- RoseLeft no message. I don't know why CALIFORNIA would call me.

- Cherrine| 1 replyHave received this call multiple times and have never answered. I finally called it and they answer with a recording saying they are with the "national diabetes association". They have a promt(#9 on your phone) to have your number removed from their data base which I used. They also refer to a web site www.ndausa.net. Not sure if it's all legitemate.
- Caller: National Diabetes Association
- Call type: Non-profit organization

- Just Me replies to Kay| 5 replies"Does anyone know what they do after someone reports a number? I sure dont."
Answer: They don't do a darn thing. The Do Not Call list is a joke for scammers like this. - LiamI just called the national diabetes asscn's 877-506-9633 and they addmitted that they are the ones who are calling using a call service from india. i gave them my number, told them to stop calling and told the [***] who answered to go F&%$ herself. Moments later I start getting calls from 'Unknown'. bbwwaaahhhhahahahahahahahahhhaaaaa... guess i struck a nerve. i just pick up the phone for half a second and slam it down on the [***].
- Caller: national dibetes [***]
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- billBill collectors calling relatives of those that owe money....that is why they ask about relatives...has NOTHING to do with diabetes..
scum sucking low life - saraI received 5 calls this morning. One mentioned Diabetes. Two hung up after I said hello. The last caller kept saying hello and I hung up. Also received numerous calls from 406-478-2356. I received 3 calls yesterday. It is noisy in the background (sounds like a call center) and one caller had a foreign accent.
- jenkeep getting calls 2+ times a day from this number. it says burke williams on the caller id. they don't leave a message. i don't pick up b/c i'm afraid the calls will come even more if i do. ANNOYING!
- poetsirrah replies to figNo, there isn't. It is possible for a website to detect the URL from which your computer is linking to the internet, but there is no way of correlating this with the phone number of your residence without going through your internet provider or hacking into their records, And of course there is no more relation between this URL and your email address than between the URL and, say, the model of your car. I don't think most services that provide free email addresses even require a phone number.
I ignored the call from the same number and have reported it as well—for all the effing good it'll do. - poetsirrah replies to CherrineThe "National Diabetes Association" has a professional-looking website, but the site doesn't have the ".org" web domain that legitimate nonprofits usually have, but rather the nonspecific ".net". This is the first clue. The second clue is this link: http://www.ktbs.com/news/27378302/detail.html. The third clue is that charitynavigator.org doesn't list the NDA, while it does list the ADA. Looks like a very professional scam t me.
- DanReceived call 8:57pm on Saturday night caller ID said 'California' did not answer
