There are now over 27 pages of people getting harrassing non-stop calls from this number.  Lets see an enterprising young attorney take this case up on a class action suit basis.  I would sign up.  I want to sting these people hard.

Same thing.  Calls all the time, no message is ever left.  I answer my phone only when calls are identified.  Even if I don't recognize the name or number, if the call is identified I will answer it.  I finally got tired of the phone ringing all the time from this number so, the only thing I could think of, I set my cell phone "ringer type" options for this number to "NONE".  Now, even though they still call all the time, at least my phone doesn't ring when this number comes in.

Whoo Hoo!  After I answer the phone from this number (and all the other "bad" numbers), I just hold the receiver next to our external answering machine and it gives them loud high-pitched screech!  BTW...my lovely caller said she was from Yellow Book.  Sounds like they're a multi-scam operation.

I called the number back, and I got a "number disconnected" message. They are definitely spoofing the caller ID. What scum.

called at 5:15pm. They wanted to give away free tickets, anywhere in the US or Hawai, and hotel stay for me and my lovely wife. All I have to do is attend a seminar, 90 minutes of my time. dates were inconvenient, then she wanted to know my wife's name. I asked to call back, caller claimed to call from San Jose, I said but your caller ID, and she immediately threw in "Oh don't worry about that, it might say Texas, Florida, we're using a telephone service provider..." She provided a number to call her: 877-293-8626. No idea if that's real.

This people won't quit calling, i have a month old baby and they keep waking him up!!! the have called 10 times already...the name on the caller ID is Global Reach Industries and the number is 213.228.8111

I get calls from Global Reach Int. many times a day. Often they call then call back right away as if they use redial. I don't answer their calls. Sometimes after I hear their name 3 times on my call ID I will then hear a phone ringing then nothing.
How can I make this stop??

This company, Global reach international is driving us crazy - constant calls all through the day and night, when we answer they hang up.

Ok, I can probably guess why all the calls that are hang ups.  

Over a decade ago, when I was working in collections, it seemed to be very common for collectors to call numbers and hang up because it brought their 'stats' up.  They have this competition going, and some of them are on some power trips, the kind where they have to be 'number one'. Their stats are according to the amount of calls they make per day and they are posted on a whiteboard for everyone to see the next morning!

It's one of the most appalling things I've ever seen in a firm that is supposed to be 'professional'.

I got this call too saying they are from the Federal Grants but they are really from that guy that was described in the post apparently.  Not from the now defunct Global Reach International.

GlobalReach Intl calls us using the # 213-239-2898.
We don't answer calls we dont know... they go to the machine and hang up. Some days we only get 1 call other days we get multiple calls..they always hang up.
