- upsetThey called me at work today. A woman wanting to confirm the information that she had in order to send me a free magazine. Be very careful. At the end of every sentence she will say okay? If you answer yes, they have you on tape. I told her that I never subscribed for a magazine and she repeated her rehearsed scenario three times, everytime ending with Okay? I told her that I was not interesed and hung up.
- irritated receptionist replies to SugarbearGot a call not less than 10 minutes ago from this number. The person they were looking for happened to be at my desk. When I asked who was calling, the caller got abusive and told me to transfer the call or else. If they're supposed to be a magazine or telemarketing company, they are not doing a very good job. I'm inclined to believe Sugarbear.
- Fed UpCalled my house just now. Did not leave message. We are on state & federal Do Not Call lists.
- BondoFoxKeep in mind that you most like *won't* be able to dial back. 976 numbers are usually blocked due to their use back in the 80's and 90's as phone sex and chargeable information lines.

- Mr Saturday NightThese losers just called me, and identified themselves as being from some magazine company. I asked if Jay Sherbondy was available. She said she didnt understand, and I told her that he is the loser that runs her company out of a shack in Las Vegas. I told her to remove my number off her list, and she hung up.

- auggieGot a call from this number just minutes ago and did not answer. If they call back, I'll be well armed with Sugarbear's info. Thank you.
- Ed SAfter several calls I picked up on one. It was a legitimate inquiry as to whether I wanted to continue receiving a trade magazine I have been receiving.
- Caller: Inf Provider CA
- Jen SCalled wanting to speak with the owner about her free subscribtion to Fleet Equipment Magazine which is a legit magazine. Unfortunately we have been telling these people for at least three years now (thats at least how long I've been here) to cancel the magazine but they don't want to take that as an answer. I told them she had already left for the day so they are going to call back. Not even 30 seconds after I got off the phone that number was showing up again on the caller ID. No one answered this time.
- Caller: Fleet Equip. Mag.
- Jen SCalled again today wanting to speak with the owner about her free subscribtion to Assembly Magazine. Again a legit magazine but I again told them we wish to cancel that magazine because we get too many as it is and they usually end up in the trash. The lady didn't care, kept saying it was a free subsribtion. I told her we didn't care about it being a free subsribtion, it was a waste of paper sending it to us and she finally said "thank you" and hung up.
- Caller: Assembly Magazine
- BACalled offering a "FREE" magazine in exchange for marketing info. Probably got my name from a trade show registration.

- BeckCalled me twice today. Did not leave a message. When I called back, got "number cannot be completed as dialed" Thanks for all the info here, I will be ignoring this!

- BI got a call from 213 976 5000 today & it showed up on my work caller ID as " INFO PROV CA ".
It sounds like a call from some call center in India because the caller always has that sort of accent. They're always asking for "the owner" or ask for the owner by name & mispronounce it every time. If I say he's out, they ask for his assistant or secretary & I tell them he doesn't have one. I've told them he won't be back for weeks & they still call every day.
I'm sure it's for some magazine we already get too many of so I just put them on hold & see how long they'll hold.
Thanks for the info Sugarbear, next time they call I'll screw with them because you gotta take what little fun you can get in the work day!!- Caller: INFO PROV CA

- lolsuzI immediately recognized the information that Sugarbear copy/pasted in her message, even though I first read it several years ago. That information dates to before 2005 and has nothing to do with phone calls people are receiving today. It's great that Sugarbear is trying to be helpful, but unfortunately her information is old. Scammers have to change their phone numbers often.
I received a call from 21-976-5000 today; it was a woman on a bad VOIP connection trying to update info to send my boss a free trade magazine... and it was targeted specifically to our center's research. This has nothing to do with Sherbody.... it's just another case of one magazine that my boss receives selling his info to a marketing company.- Call type: Telemarketer
