- LibbyEdward Wolff & Associates have called me about a neighbors dept. Telling me what they owe and how much they have payed them. They called them liers and thief's. I asked if it was legal to tell me what they have about our neighbors they said they have the right and will call everyone to get them to pay. I asked them not to call me anymore they said they can't promise me that. If they don't pay they may call me again. They was very rude to us and we have no obligations to the dept that our neighbors owe. Which our neighbors are wonderful people that I didn't even know they were having money problems. If everything everyone says about these people are true they need to be stopped.

Amazing how he seems to have forgotten the 4 years or so that he worked at Ranger...trying to hide something, Mark? Even better, he actually states, under education, that he received a Bachelor of Science (BS), Business at North Lake Community College. Wow, I wish I had known about a 2 year community college that could grant a Bachelor's degree...think of all the money and time I could have saved. I would hazard a guess that the only true part of his education section is the BS. - Jeremy Quinn| 4 repliesThis company is not dead. They have reformed as Tucker, Albin & Associates. They call in purporting to be a law firm to bypass the reception desk.
Fortunately for us, I am trained and know how to deflect social engineers.
Susan Starr, the 'star' of this show, now works for these sharks at TA&A. After I collected her name and company name, her first call was directed to voicemail of her intended recipient - company policy is to request that collection calls are first sent in writing, or we cannot help them.
As with all suspicious callers, I immediately investigated her name and company, and found this site here. She called back several minutes later, requesting a fax number. I asked her if her company was a law firm, to which she replied "I cannot disclose this." I informed her that I already knew well and good that she was calling from a collections agency and previously lied to me in order to be transferred.
I'm admittedly a bit of jerk, so I made some noises with my mouth to interrupt her blathering, told her to shut her mouth, and then hung up on her.
She called back immediately and demanded my name. I declined to disclose, and she informed me that she'd place my name on an affidavit. I promptly told her I did not care, and hung up on her again.
Again, she called back, this time on another phone line with a private number. She said, and I quote:
"What is your name? I'm going to find you. I will find your name, your number, your e-mail address, your address, your family. Our people will come for you and find out everything about you, you little [***]."
Needless to say, I chuckled. I was about to very sweetly tell her that she can speak with my supervisor, but she had already hung up.
I later discovered from the person she left a message with that she thought I was a woman. Inbred Texans don't know any better, apparently.- Caller: Tucker, Albin & Associates

- Jeremy Quinn replies to ronnieHow do you know? Where did you find this information? I can't find anything about her. I want to report her asap, because she threatened my family.
- Sammy replies to Donna| 1 replythere is a David Cox and there is Mark Wolff. I have worked with both of them. Mark is a salesman, David is a collector. I like both of them. NEITHER have used vulgar language in addressing a bad debt. If a collector or salesman does use bad language, you can call the attorney general in the state you preside or call the Federal Trade Commission to express your concerns. It is ridiculous to put crap like this on a website where NOTHING will be done.
- LinkedIn MemberThis Mark Wolff is quite the character. His lists companies he worked for with inaccurate timelines, he is member of ACA, NOT and that he has a 4 year degree from a 2 year college. Oh and he has a "recommendation" from Steve Wolff. He is the president of Edward Wolff & Associates. Not a very creative liar.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Fred replies to Jeremy QuinnYou are all wrong. Mark Wolff worked for Curt Walker at Ranger Financial and was the sales manager there. Curt Walker went out of business by not paying his client and filed bankruptcy and opened another collection agency. Mark Wolff opened his own collection agency called Edward Wolff & Associates. Tucker Albien and Associates are owned by Allen Humphries and Nick Siatka and they have never worked for Curt Walker or Ranger Financial Services, nor have they ever been affiliated with Ranger or Curt Walker. Nick worked for Nationwide Recovery Service. Sue Starr worked for Curt Walker at Ranger and is currently working for Tucker Albien and Associates.
- Robert TherstonWow. This Susan Starr is a real gem. After she threatened bodily injury to my staff and I, we took a nice drive from Dallas, TX to Richardson, TX to do some investigating. Turns out that this Susan Starr (that's actually her 'Stage Name' - she is a POLE DANCER if you can believe that !!!) is a 300 pound gorilla pig.
She came out of their piece of junk office eating two donuts and gulping a 7-11 64 Ounce Big Gulp Coke and stuffing her face like the pig that she is.
Bottom line next time she calls you is ask her how her pole dancing is going !!! She pole dances to offset her income at this crazy nut job place she works at in Richardson.
We know who you are, Susan. We know what you look like. And it ain't pretty !!!!!- Caller: Ranger

- Angry replies to Dart JacksonEverything you have read about Mark Wolff is accurate. He lies & manipulates information to play one account against the other & then collects & doesn't pay.He does what he wants & treats clients as if they are the delinquents when they don't agree with his methods! Arranging a payment option with post dated checks is not collected funds & then keeps your money so he gets his fees up front & all you're holding are promissory notes for the next 2 and 1/2 years! He's not working in this area any time soon, He cut his own throat in my industry! He'll be reported to everyone in my networks & all of his professional organizations will hear about his deceptive practices!
- kkerickson replies to AnonymThey just collected after bullying our customer, but refuses to pay.
- rrsmithton replies to SammyThank you for that information. I will call those 2 offices. One of our customers that wasn't even on the Wolff call list was called, cussed out and called names. He has some of the messages recorded. This company can be effective, but is as unethical as they come. I will not air the laundry list here, but will let my lawyer deal with it.
- getrex replies to Obcsv oneWho do I call to keep them from harassing others? The interaction with this company was based on lies from the get go. They have a check due to us that was cashed a month ago and refuse to pay us, threatening lawyers if we don't pay them thousands more! What? Does that really work with people? Why would anyone pay them more when they owe us $? I guess some people get scared when threatened and cave to bullies. Let's stop this bull.
- B.B. replies to Former RFS employee| 1 replyCollecting Money can be a very nasty business, and that is why we take this burden off of our clients shoulders and work our tails off for free unless we actually collect the money! I have worked for other agencies and would not work for a company that doesn't pay me or my clients! Get a life, or a job and stop spreading a bunch of trash about a company that went bankrupt! WE ARE NOT RANGER FINANCIAL, Mark was never an owner of the Ranger and he was screwed just like everyone else! Check the BBB or our multiple accreditations, there is nothing to hide!
