Call from Texas, 214-932-1519. A man with a heavy Indian accent said "I live down the street from you and your daughter kicked my dog this morning". I informed him he had the wrong number and he just kept screaming "Your daughter kicked my dog, why would she do that". Total idiot!! Just a crank call! Tried to call back and it said the # was disconnected.

I received three calls in a row this morning (4/2/2015) from 214.932.1519.  All three voice mail messages were identical. The caller had a thick accent.  Also, the number on caller ID is not the same as the number I was given to call back.
Here is the transcript from the call that was transcribed by my phone carrier.
    Voicemail from (214) 932-1519  - 43 seconds
"Hi this message is intended to contact you. My name is Dennis Gray and I'm calling regarding an enforcement action executed by US Treasury in sending(?) your serious(?) attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to your-wife(?) initial appearance before a magistrate judge or graduate for a federal criminal-finance(?). My number is 620-951-5092. I repeat 63095150939 wife you to cooperate with us and help us to help you. Thank you."

Called my IL home this morning, number shows as Dallas, TX but caller left a number from LA, left this ridiculous message: "Hi this message is intended to contact you. My name is Alex Ferguson and I'm calling regarding enforcement actions executed by US Treasury and can you get serious attention. Ignoring this will be an additional second attempt to award(?) initial appearance before a magistrate judge Auto Grand Jury for a federal criminal offense. My number is 504-684-4661. I repeat 504-684-4661. I advise you to cooperate with us and help us to help you. Thanks." Very thick Indian accent. What BS

These are criminal extortionists operating in overseas boiler rooms using VOIP to alter their identities and locations and out of the reach of US law enforcement.

If someone calls saying he's an IRS agent and demands that you send money immediately, hang up.
It's a phone scam.In fact, it tops the IRS "Dirty Dozen" list of tax scams this year, and it's been surging in recent months, the agency said Thursday.

The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), which oversees the IRS, has received reports of 290,000 scam calls since October 2013 and said nearly 3,000 victims have been swindled out of $14 million so far.

By altering their caller ID number to make it look like they're calling from an IRS office, these scammers often threaten vulnerable people like the elderly and new immigrants with things like arrest, deportation or the loss of their driver's license if they don't pay immediately for money purportedly owed.

Often leaving messages that say it's "urgent" you call them back, the scammers use common names and sometimes say they are from the IRS Criminal Division. They may even claim to know the last four digits of your Social Security number and send follow-up emails that appear to be from the IRS, TIGTA said.

They often demand that payments be made by prepaid debit card.

Once they make their threats, the scammers have been known to call back and again disguise their caller ID so it appears they are calling from the police department or the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

Or sometimes when they call, they may say you have a refund due and ask you to provide personal information so you can claim it.

The real IRS will usually contact you by regular mail first, if it needs to contact you at all. And the agency never demands immediate payment by phone or asks for credit card or debit numbers if they do call. It also never asks for personal or financial information by email, text or social media.

If you get what you suspect is a scam call, report it to TIGTA through its Web site or call 800-366-4484.

and he just called again. I am fully aware that it is a scam, it enrages me because older or less educated people may fall for this garbage. It is so tempting to call back just to screw with them but I don't want to engage and waste my time.

Not everyone is getting these nuisance spoofed phone calls. I am referring to those calls that hang-up or out-of-service when you call them back. IRS scam calls, problem-with-your-computer calls and others are intended to annoy a particular group of people. I don't know about you but many people I know do not receive these calls.

A friend of mine gave me some good advise when it's unknown caller.  I haven't tried it yet but seriously thinking about it.  He said answer an immediately reply "The jobs done. Sure is a lot of blood though."  He said they hang up real quick.  He said it has cut down on lots of telemarketers calling him.  So far I've not tried this but...

Got a call from this - TEXAS on the ID.  Was silent after my greeting, I waited a minute, said "hello", then someone asked for the business owner by name.  Sounded like a call center; said they were "Direct Connect" - did not leave a message.  I blocked this one from calling again.

This number was leaving a message, and repeating it for the second time when I answered, the message said press any key to find out more information. They said they were process servers, THEY DID NOT SAY WHO THEY WERE LOOKING FOR, just said that my social security number and this number were connected,  and that they had been trying to reach me and that they were servers from my area, blah blah blah..... When I was connected to a person they said they didn't make calls, only accept calls, and asked for my phone number. I said "You know if you called me and asked me to key in any number to speak to someone, and you are telling me you don't know my number, then you are a scammer, and hung up.... This was my first call from this number. Do yourself a favor and don't answer to them, and for goodness sakes don't give them any info

Left no message, but here is my message to the moron who sets up these robotic calls. Your call is blocked with my call-blocking Panasonic phone.  And guess what àѕѕηθļє? No ring when you call back!  We will eventually win.  Just imagine if 300 of you creeps called 100 numbers each and nobody answered?  Assuming no duplicated numbers, that’s 30,000 phones that are not answered!  (i know you can’t do the simple math.)  so why don’t you go back to school and finish your 4th-grade education?
