Everything turned out great - It was reeaallyy a great day.....thank you for the advice and people dont belive this nonsense......I almost did :(

What a joke these people are. My friend got invited for an open call so I decided to go with her to see if it was legit. You could tell right away that it was a huge scam. Highly, highly suggest doing research on these people before you go there and waste your time. What you read on the internet is true. If they try and deny the facts. Look at the body language. Hello!!!! you people have 
"shady" written all over the place. 


Now, this one is really bugging me. Why is it that four days after I go for an open call, I get an email saying " thank you for applying for the position". I never once applied for any job. So I decided to go. Too many red flags. 

Red Flags:
1. Grammar and spelling horrible
2. Kelly Weiss? No matter how many times you call, she is never in. 
3. Never sent a copy of my resume but Kelly said, " thank you for sending" If she did have a copy of my resume, then she would clearly see that I am psychologist and currently working. What the heck, do I know about scouting??
4. The person who interviewed me was scum bag. Yankee's jacket and smelled you smoked of cigarettes! Ew! Your place of business looked just as shady and dirty as you. Did research only to find out "mike fomkin" is a huge criminal. Public Records
5. None could really give me many details about the job. 
6. Their office looks as you could pack your scam up in one night, move into another city, and start right up.
7. No pride in their business. 
8. Take a look at the "people" defending her and her company. All the comments are written by the same person.  There is a pattern. 9.They care about stealing people money and dreams. Also, they love suing people. I'm sure, there is going to be a post stating "name,address,lawyer contact info"
10. Its sad that they do not take pride in their business. It's a shame.

None is lying when you can go to public records and see the truth. The only one lying here is you. Take pride in your business. Not having it look shady.  Grow up. I agree with all the negative feedback about this company. It's a scam. I responded to a post on Craigslist looking for talent scouts. In reality, the company represents itself as a Talent Agency, but no legitimate talent agency will charge their clients or potential models in exchange for representation. This is an industry fact. Aspiring models, beware.

So, I interviewed at this company for the talent scout position. It was a group orientation, and we got the rundown and it quickly dawned on me that this was a scam. Here are the factual requirements about the position: As talent scouts, we were expected to sign a minimum of five (5) new clients per week. If we do the math for a second, we can guess that the company will hire maybe 10 scouts to recruit 5 clients per week totaling 50 clients per week. 50 per week? William Morris Endeavor doesn't even sign 50 new talents per week. No talent agency can sustain that many clients per week. There's just not enough work.

Also, the scouts were expected to undergo a 30-day unpaid training period, afterwards, it's my guess that the scouts will be let go. Hire these people with no intention of actually paying them, and you can get free labor for 30 days.

So, those are the bullet-points of my warning. I never post things and I never write begrudgingly about anything. I'm not even on Yelp. So, it takes a truly egregious and predatory "company" like this one to get me fired up. I'm just trying to look out after anyone who might be duped into applying to this company. It's a tough economy and we're all looking for jobs, but don't let these snake-oil salesmen fool you.

I worked for the It Factor and I was cheated out of my paycheck. Unfortunatly, this wasn't just me. Some of my colleagues had the same problem. Please think twice about this job.

What the individual above wrote is correct. Except here's the good part- you are expected to refer at least 40 people a week and have at least 5 that get signed. The juicy part is you will NOT get paid until you get people signed. Quid pro quo, you will work for free until you get people signed through The "It" Factor. Don't believe me? Then waste your gas, time, and money going to their location day after day receiving not so much as a dime for your troubles. Mike stays inside all day on the computer and Alycia hawks about doing God knows what. She now has a so-called "very important radio show" (internet radio) and she is rude.

If you know what  is good for you and your family, you will not associate yourself with Alycia Kaback, The "It" Factor, Michael James, Fomkin.

Mike is referenced here in a $5,000,000 lawsuit (http://www.vexatiouslitigant.com/6-07-cv-1854 ... 0Disclosure.pdf), he is in association with Ayman Ahmed El-Difrawi (whose names was americanized into Alec Defrawy who is, by the way, a convicted criminal), and you will so no good spoken of this troupe anywhere on the internet except in places where "Anon" writers write or on their own websites.

And did you see the threat posted above by "Kaback"? They have mafia involvement so I would stay away.

The company does refer 'very motivated and driven" aspiring individuals with that extra dollar at hand to other scam companies across the US board.
Again the USA is set up schematically like a SpiderWeb if you think about it, companies run or branched off with different or same names all stay in touch with each other and report to "The Source" with how their company revenues, annuals, and rates of demographic success ratios. "The Source" to be better explained as a very powerful, executive buisness head already retired, having worked in the cores of american business, such as WallStreet, major entertainment groups, and contracts with the law so as to not get sued, yet they are criminals with the capability to change their name, address, place of residence and everything about them that makes them untraceable.
These companies, whether they follow different patterns, methodologies, procedures or having separate CEOs or 'Executives" are all contacts that have studied and copycated the best of the best strategies in marketing, advertising, and sales techs available. Believe however when I say that not all these owners perfect what they have learned, and some still remain ignorant to this day not knowing how to run their show. VIP/ FMA is by all means the old Options Talent, still secretly based in Orlando, Florida..a warehouse of refuge for Ms. Aly to escape of anything should dare seriously happen to her. Her "service", these event networking seminars, shows, expos, or whatever are again a hunting ground for these scam bounty hunters to keep sucking the new money from these people. I as an insider and underground operative I see now why ultimately there is no way for this industry to scam on to never end. That we can use the rules of the law to make ourselves seem real, that we can pay who ever realistically to shut their mouths up and say to society how important and real we are, and how America really loves to help make us more money the wrong than the right, "adjusted" way. This is a sign off, and I leave this information to the beholder to view, and make just decision, to what they should believe or not these are the actions and dangerous activities happening realstically in our future.
God pray there be some way to stop this nightmare and the next...

If you actually read the posts on this site, why even ask? Do you like stealing money? Do you think that working for people who do will ultimately benefit you? Do you think a site where people warn each other about FILTHY SCAMS is a good place to do you job research? That speck on the floor -- is it a piece of your brain?

They told me 41,600.  I HAD a scout interview today, that was just made yesterday, but I canceled it. Via email, of course, considering no live person answered the phone when I called to actually CONFIRM the interview to being with.  I respectfully said that I felt unsettled about a few things and needed more time to research whether I could comfortably and ethically become a talent scout, and that I would reapply at a later time if I could.  I'm glad I found this post.  I've been researching since last night and only found complaints about clients being scammed.  Either way, I'd want no association with a company where so many people seem to get hurt.  I'm bouncing back, I know, but they gave me half a day notice to interview today.  They said if not today, then not for several weeks due to that new pre production show in NY.  Anyway, I'm wondering if that, too, is intentional so potential employees don't actually have time to do proper research.  I also read somewhere that it was over two hours with the orientation and one on one.  I was told (because I specifically asked) how long it would take, which was quoted as "about an hour".  I live an hour away with two young children coming home from school in the afternoon.  Stuck in Philly with my kids locked out?  My X would've had a field day with that one.  But I digress.  Bottom line, I don't know enough to bash them, but enough to know I wouldn't  be comfortable working for them and am thankful for those who shared their experience here, thus preventing me from going through the same.

Total scam, taking advantage of people who either do or don't have a few extra dollars and have realistic dreams of being in the business, some very qualified ppl will be turned off to the entertainment business for life and the under qualified ones will lose their money if nothing else. It's very irresponsible and devious. I'm sure it's not technically illegal because she offers no 100% Guarentees of success but if it seems and feels too easy....it probably is... Very very few talent actually get discovered anymore, maybe less than .5 % of talent in the biz.  And they would especially not get discovered by a scout that has no knowledge of the business and was hired on Craigslist.

Mike and Alicia are the worst people, I have ever met. Did you know that they can not keep anyone working for more than a month because people catch on to what they are doing. It is shame that Alicia who proclaims that she is this powerful women is controlled by Mike. The way that they be little everyone is sad or how Mike has his someone else do his dirty work because he isn't man enough to fire people. Then the lies they tell about you when quit are just sad. Look, at the comments that are above, what "CEO" in their right mind would write something like that? Horrible! "Post pictures of nudity if their over 18."  Grow up and start acting like a CEO instead of being a child. If you business was doing that great then you wouldn't have time to be on the internet writing this crap.

Its is a scam and I;m sorry for anyone who wasted their hard earn money on this.

John - you almost burned the office down with a candle / you printed out all the paperwork day in and day out. You took the lunch that was for staff and started eating it yourself before anyone else came in. When someone was late to your meeting and you were asked why - you responded I am not their mom. Seriously and you were paid at a six-figure salary per year for all this. Full medical benifits - travel exspense at 4 star hotels. Mean - seriously? The other people who write on here - granted they don't know better they do not see the hard work everyday the entire staff puts in, the success stories are not read by them. They just follow the "title of the post and get caught up in the intrigue of the title of the page." You were trained and we expected better. Working in client relations with the company - I just was not going to let your remarks pass.

You can't look at anybody because you think that your better than them when the truth of the matter is that your not.

Everyone who has ever worked there  and made VIP a better place you fired or they left because of how you either spoke, treated, or try to scare them. You could easily have a great company but you don't want it.
