- ItsASCAMDO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. This company is a total SCAM. VIP Talent Connect and FINDMYAUDITION.COM are run by the SAME person. They charge people $495.00-$1600 just to attend their events. THEY PREY ON ASPIRING TALENTS. THEY ARE VULTURES.

- Ginger replies to MedinaIf that girl is the calibre of the company's talent, then it is clearly a scam! LOL!
- Smith,J.Yes, I did some research and it is a huge scam! I searched Google "how to be a model in Philadelphia" and 1 day later someone called me from VIP saying to meet with a talent director. I have no idea how they got my contact information and they didn't even ask any questions about my experience. My friend also said she went to a free workshop and when it was over they tried to sign her up and make her pay $60 a month for an email. They prey on prospective talent that has no idea what they are doing but want to be in entertainment industry. They are so pathetic, it's sad really.

- Mookie replies to VIP Talent Connect| 15 repliesI have just joined VIP Talent a week or so ago and I have been trying to reach one of their representatives after giving my money and now I can't reach anyone. No one will call me back or anything. I cought on very quickly, but not quickly enough before giving them my money. This company is a Scamm. Aly K. CEO of company is the biggest scam ever. I will be going after her to shute them down. I will not give up until I do. For everyone who has given them money or those new to this company do not attend or pay for any other events with this company.
The Detroiter. - Toni replies to Mookie| 6 repliesI just attended last night but my husband caught on to her from the begining and he made a statement and Aly did not like it he said something like her comes the scam and then she kicked us out of the room. She's having another meeting on Sunday Oct 18 at Crowne Plaza 66 Hale Ave White Plains NY I will be there handing out paper saying what a scam artist she is.She won't hear the end of me wasting 2 hours of our time last night.
- Girl in White replies to Toni| 4 repliesI was there your kid was a mess. I went to the event and my child is signed with one of the biggest agencies in the world because of the help i got from VIP. heard the police had you removed from the building and you made a ass of yourself in the lobby, who gets banned from the Crowne Plaza?
- Tony DuMont replies to Mookie| 7 repliesI understand exactly what you are going through, because I too have been gypped by VIP Talent Connect.
Last December, they called me and insisted I make an appointment with them after business hours, claiming that they were making an incredible offer and I might not have the opportunity again. When I got to their office (in Tribeca, of all places), the aggressively chummy sales representatives insisted I had a "James Spader quality," put my headshot on the wall, and insisted I was perfect for their service (even though I didn't even audition for them), which they claimed would lead to high-paying jobs and didn't have many openings. They claimed that they weren't an agency, but would instead introduce me to industry professionals and I could either attend one event for $895 or purchase a two-year membership for $995. They did not allow me much time to change my mind, saying that the offer wouldn't come up again and that the events would already fill up, so under duress, I signed a two-year contract.
After finding out too late that they were not exactly reputable (for instance, a real networking company would name who attends and not charge hundreds of dollars up front), I called VIP the next day and asked for a refund, but they sternly refused. I also called the credit card company to dispute the charge, but they would not since I had willingly handed VIP my card. After a second failed attempt to report this as credit card fraud, I contacted the Better Business Bureau, but even this was not a successful bid, with VIP claiming that I had paid for meals and headshots, which the contract does not mention and was not brought up in the meeting. Also, as a lawyer friend pointed out, the contract does not specify whether I'm entitled to attend multiple events over two years or only one event, and also implies that I have to pay extra to attend each event.
I finally decided to take the company to small claims court. Since they had closed their New York office I had to go to Philadelphia to sue, and since I don't have a driver's license my parents had to rent a car to take me there, and yesterday, when the hearing was held, Alycia Kayback lied to the judge, claiming that I got the information online and arranged an appointment myself and was not coerced (this is a lie, they sought me without disclosing how they got my contact information). She put on a facade of legitimacy, claiming she had a "double degree" and didn't even name names except for Joe Franklin, but the judge, who did not know much about show business, did not appear to see through her. He did not look at the contract or let me rebut her, and ruled in her favor. As far as he was concerned, I signed a contract without taking up on the offer and didn't have a case.
Not only am I out a fortune and feeling like a jerk, but this case has made my entire family upset. My best hope at this point is to expose VIP as the scam they are, and join with other victims such as you so that we may assemble a class-action suit and finally get justic. I have not attended any of their events, I have only fought for a refund, and I will not rest until Alycia is put out of business for good. - ActorAll I can say is that it's a shame that in today's world of such easy access to information people still fall for these scams just because they want to break into the industry. Most of the guests on the list above can't help any new people coming into the biz simply because 1. Most of them are not casting directors or agents or managers. 2. And the people who attend these events don't have enough credits or training to get signed, or an actual audition. Don't waste your money!!! Read Backstage, Ross Reports (now called Call Sheet) even Acting for Dummmies, but see the obvious scam and fraud that This company is! Also, I'll reitterate a posters point that NEVER!!! EVER!!!!! will a legit agency ask you for money up front. And a real networking company will have a list of small events not cattle calls like these people do.
Just to let u know I have been solicited by VIP talent, but I would never waste my time or money on them, safe to write a warning here. - NOT VIP replies to Girl in White| 3 repliesWow! That comment looks like a load of crap. You must be Alyshia Kobeck or Nancy Marks posing as a parent. I hope your life is sapped of all happiness. I can't seem to comprehend the ability that some human beings have with lying. Is there absolutely no remorse?
p.s. What biggest agency? ....Nice use of grammatical errors and lack of spelling. Sounds like a really intelligent and well informed consumer. - DaveI have been in this industry since 1975. I can say with all honesty and clarity that VIP Talent Connect and any agency similar to this agency is a SCAM. They make their money from unsuspecting, hopeful want-to-be stars. I can tell you as an industry professional - and please listen up everyone - that NO truly legit, professional, ethical Management Company, Talent Agency or Casting company EVER charges talent upfront for ANYTHING. Not even a penny. Legit agencies or individuals only get paid by commission once the talent has been paid by the client for work the Agent or Manager has procurred for the talent. It is not ethical, professional or legit to be asked for money to "sign with" an agency or to be "listed with" an agency or to be "sent out" by an agency etc. They get paid when YOU get paid - not before. Plain and simple and end of story. Stay away from VIP Talent Connect and ANY place that smells remotely like them. Thanks for your attention to this.

- Dee| 1 replyVIP TALENT CONNECT IS DEFINITELY A SCAM!!
I saw an ad for a job for an administrative assistant for VIP Talent Connect on craigslist.com early 2010. It was a group interview, which is very unprofessional. It was in New York, NY by the way. They had this fake looking application we all filled out. The "office" was covered by a curtain instead of having a door. Nothing really looked professional. It said in the ad it was like a job like in the movie "The Devil Wears Prada". Yeahhhh riiight. I heard that if you have a job with them they pay you a commission and not a set wage or salary. Commission?? Why?? What are you "selling"?? I'll tell you what... YOU'RE SELLING A SCAM. Which they don't even tell the employee it's a scam. They're clueless about it. What they told us in this so called "job interview" was different from what they tell customers they scam money out of. They told us that the customers don't pay anything. They showed us a video at the interview of people that they claim they made successful. I have never heard of any of those people in the video. If they were so successful I would know who they are. Aly kept name dropping, meaning she kept mentioning famous people that she supposedly knew. Yeah right. She said she had the business for 2 years now. For example, she said she knew the founder or owner of Viacom, Snoop Dogg, etc. How can you know these people in 2 years time??? To get that reputation you need to be in business for wayyyy more than 2 years. They were also saying stuff like they had to meet famous people that same night or an event they had. Yeah oookay! I found out they were a scam the next day when I looked up their company online. I was shocked. I knew that there was something off about them. And who has donuts and coffee at interviews???? Seriously lol. Once I found out they were a scam I contacted the office they were renting in New York, NY via email letting them know the situation. I posted the links I found out about the company saying it's a scam in the email I sent the office they were renting. I didn't need a response to my email but I hope they did something about this. I hope it helped. Oh and if it's suuuch a big successful company that they claimed it to be, they would have used other more expensive job sites like monster.com or careerbuilder.com. Craigslist.com is the cheapest. It's like $25 per post.
I hope I helped you all out. Do not fall for this VIP TALENT CONNECT! - Stop Scamming| 3 repliesAlycia is rude and had a bad attitude. Here is our conversation:
She asked me how do I get my work. I told her I get it from SAG/AFTRA site and you know what she said, "That doesn't mean anything to me". I was like it means something to me. She kept asking me at my age why do I want to accomplish, I said I want to be on a Soap Opera and she said what have you done, I said I went to work shop/seminars and saw some CD, she down played that as well. Last and final draw was when she asked me, "If I look back on my career what would I have changed, I said I wouldn't have paid these agencies , etc to get me work. She had the audacity to say that was Stupid of me to say that. I said no it isn't. See she charges money to be with her bogus agency. People be warned of this fake/attitude women of VIP. The people up here claiming she is real and got their children work are bogus as well. She wants me to call a number and listen to all these "people" who claim they have made it from her company how bogus. You can get background work from any reputable network place. So people I will warn you again. Be Careful of working with VIP, Scam Artist.- Caller: VIP Connect
