received a call and woman was speaking spanish with cheering going on in the background.  Sounded like a recording.  Hung up.

Received a call on my cell phone while at work, but could not answer. No message left, I haven't tried to return the call but decided to google the digits in hopes of finding either a residential listing or feedback on a site such as this. Call received July 23, 2008; 11:36 AM.

This number called my cell I called it back and is not in service

I just got a call from this number at 9:17am Pacific Time. I'm in California. I let it go to voice mail because I did not recognize the number. They did not leave a message.

Received call and ladie was talking in spanish.  She said to be careful.  And then I hung up.

I got this call, & took a few spanish classes.  The spanish woman said "to purchase, press #1" - so maybe it's a scammer trying to make $.

Received a call this morning from this Pennsylvania number.. Let it go to voicemail since I didn't recognize the number. Didn't leave a message.

****PEOPLE, THIS IS A SCAM BY AT&T THEMSELVES TO USE MINUTES ON YOUR PHONES WHETHER IT BE A GO PHONE OR NOT.******  I just activated my GO-PHONE with AT&T yesterday. Today I received a call from this #. I didn't pick it up and the caller did not leave a voice mail. I have never seen this number before on any other phone I've had, which has been either sprint or nextel.  Isn't it odd that as soon as I get an AT&T phone I suddenly get a call from this number? It appears that AT&T is using an outside source to make these calls by feeding them numbers on their network; eating away minutes on callers plans, resulting in more revenue to AT&T for caller plans going over minutes.

Didn't recog number, so didn't answer. No message left.
Legit calls will leave a message, otherwise just ignore & delete("That was easy")

got the call last night. i never answer calls from numbers i don't recognize. here's some info on the number:

just received a call from this number, an all spanish speaking recording.  number not in service when I returned the call.

I missed a call from this number around 7:45pm PST on June 23, 2008. I live in San Diego.

Answered call from 1-215-944-8989.  Heard Spanish record through tons of static.  Idiots.

Someone called my cell from this # at 2:52pm ET. I didn't pick it up and they didn't leave a voicemail.

Got one today at 1:54 pm.  Called it back and said # not in service like everyone else. Has anyone gotten bogus charges on their bills for calling this # back?

I'm on the do not call list... how did this person get my number?
I'm seeing I'm not the only one here getting random calls from this very number. How can it be stopped please?

this same number 215-944-8989 has been calling my cell phone too.  since i don't recognize, i don't answer.  called yesterday 6/23 @ 4:42pm and again today at 2:21pm - no messages left.

THE CALL IS IN SPANISH, AND THEY SAY "YOU ARE WINNER CALL NUMBER TEN" TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE PRESS "1" I HUNG UP IMMEDIATELY.

I just got a call from this number. Normally I don't answer numbers I don't recognize but since I was expecting a call from a long lost friend who lives in PA now, I thought it might be her so I answered it. There was a recording of some woman speaking in Spanish and a bunch of static. I have Sprint so the theory about AT&T doesn't make sense.

So if this a caller id spoof - how can it be tracked and stopped?
