I just received a call front this number 215 944 8989 I hand up,
the number is from Pennsylvania
the call says: felisidad acavas de ganar un premio presione 10
wich means: congratilations you win  a prize press 10
so I think is a scam for the latin comunity

I am with sprint and they called me today 6/25 at 10:53am.  I did not answer and no message was left.  I got a busy signal when I tried to call it back.  I also have not signed up for anything or paid anything online in a while.

I'm afraid there is no way to track it. I've been trying to do that.. and performing internet search engine and lexinexi lead me here.. so, so far.. nada. I've passed it on the fcc but they prob don't or won't really care or make more than a minor inquiry. But this is kinda weird to me. I'm based out of Chicago and im seeing people posting here about the same num (215) 944-8989 from all over the country. Anybody definite about the language (those that hear it)??? Because its calling alot of different types of lines all around the country. In the last 3 to 4 maybe 5 days. (or more) is this terrorists sending a message and making sure it gets to the destined recipients..? one way or another??? Kinda freaky. Anybody who can decipher it or knows anything should post here. Anybody in canada getting calls?

Same as everyone else: Missed call about 10 minutes ago, NO VM, callback to disconnected number, and Googled to find you guys. I'm with T-Mobile... one interesting note is that this is my main phone (I have no land line), so while I'm very cautious with my phone number, it IS the ONLY number I have, so it's out there somewhere.

Wouldn't it be funny if this was a scam by 800notes.com to get more traffic?

I got a call from this number. The recording was in spanish. i only answered cause im in oregon and the area code and number was not one that i recognized and it was on my cell phone

i recieved this call in Scottsdale AZ. at approximately 7:53 arizona time. same M.O. I did not answer the call and to call it back the # is not in service I am reporting it to my cell carrier.

You need some professional help. Paranoia is a symptom of a serious issue.

I got a call at 8pm on my work cell on 6-25-08. It was a recording in I think spanish (latin language for sure).

I had a missed call from a number at 6:16 PST. I tried to call back at 8:45 and it said the number was disconnected.

Got the same call. Didn't recognize the number. Didn't answer. No message. What the heck is going on?

Received call from this number this evening at 8:00 pm. I live in Colorado. Didn't answer the phone. Don't know how it was-will not call back.

This is some really freaky [***]. FCC can't stop it. Millions must have gotten calls like this by now. Not trying to be paranoid what-so-ever; but makes me wonder about something like in that last die hard movie.. or some kinda terror thing maybe. Thats one big massive list; or one impressive random number generator that defies being traced and busted. Lots of calls, all hours of the day and night.. almost everybody getting a call with a recorded message.. some kind of communication?????

Funny also how alot of other 215/944 numbers go to a school district..
