The phone rang. Did not answer because I don't know DonorCallCenter.Tell me if you have had contact and what this is.

I was just searching for the same reason.  This is the third time.  I am registered on the do not call list, so I don't understand how they are getting through.

If anyone knows who these people are please give us a post back.

I just spoke to a person at the other end of the line of the Donor Care Center; I'll paraphrase; They are not American Cancer Society but "act on behalf" of them. They said their call was not a request for money (yeah, right) They asked if I would like to accept 17 letters which would be sent by them to me. MY " commitment" would be to add postage and send the letters, presumably to people I know. There was more to the conversation, but let's just say the call went quickly downhill.

That this group could actually be related to any branch of the Cancer Society is a damn shame. Maybe this group is connected to ACS in a 90%/10%
split.

This is an "address letters and provide postage for charity" offer. It's up to you to buy it.

Received call at 2:15pm.  Got that "pregnant pause" where no one is there, then the background noise of lots of people talking.  I repeatedly pushed the * button on my phone and THEY DID IT BACK TO ME!!!!  Had to use *69 to retrieve number that had called me.  Am also on DO NOT CALL list so I'm not pleased.

This number comes up on my phone almost everyday for the past week or so. I asked them to take me off their list and stop calling. They do not listen and still call. I too am on the do not call list. Very frustrating.

Got a call @ 6:33 ET. Didn't pick up. They did not leave a message.

They've been calling me for about two weeks. I picked up tonight (3/5/08) and the woman addressed me by name and said something about 'your policy' before I hit the wrong button and disconnected us. I waited for them to call back but they didn't. I went to Google and was quite surprised at the number of reports of this particular number.

I get calls from this number 2X each day; one in the morning and one in the evening. I do not answer since I have caller ID and don't recognize this caller. I am on all Do Not Call lists.  I hope they give up eventually!

I get this call daily and was just searching the internet to see who they are.  Glad I found this post.  Thanks all, I'll never answer now.

getting calls every day from this number. same experience.  i reported it to the FCC.  it's easy to do on line. i just googled "Federal Communications Committee"  you have to fill out a brief complaint form. If everyone does it, they'll take care of it.  the last time something like this was happening, some of us reported it, and it was taken care of very quickly.

These annoying people have called our "do not call" registered phone number numerous times during the past two weeks - each time I answered there was no one there. My 97 year old Mom does not need to be disturbed by a constantly ringing phone.  As per the reports above I googled the "Federal Communications Commission" (it's commission not committee) and filed a simple report as having "abandoned calls" from this number.  It was easy to do - hope more do the same and close down these calls. From now on if I receive any more calls from them I'll simply pick up the phone and disconnect them without answering!

I have no idea who this company is, but for the last 2 weeks they have been calling me around the same time every night. When I look at the caller ID I do not pick up the phone. My children have answered and I tell them to hang up the phone. I am also registered on the do not call list and wish they would stop calling.

Tryed to report this # to the National Do Not Call Registry , and this is what the answer was "We Are Unable to Accept Your Complaint

The phone number 216-453-1574 was registered on March 13, 2008. Companies may call you for up to 31 days after that date. You may file a complaint if a company calls you after April 13, 2008"
  Sounds like thay have found some kind of loop hole . My last call was 3/12/2008. Many more before that.

I am glad I read this. This number keeps calling with no messages.
