I've asked for pictures, she sent me pictures.
I've asked for directions from airport, she did nt respond with an answer. She reply to me asking for additional money since she forgot to add cleaning, taxes, and asked me to send her additional $100 \
I told her NOT. That I would pay as soon as I arrived.
Then, she asked me for my phone number and text message me in french from Craigslist with a confirmation number. I gave her the confirmation and told me you are all set.

Later. i told her I need to speak with you since I have some questions and told her the phone number in the contract was not working. Then, she gave me a 518 number which did not work.

Anyway, i have already open a case in western union, and craigslist. I will report this case to local police but it is so frustrating that this person keeps taking the money and there is no way to stop her.

I had the same problem today with "Kimberly Connor". Be careful!

I can't believe that somebody is not controlling this scams. Come one, who allows them to post and advertise on line. It is not fair. And this Kimberly Wallace. OMG, what a person. I am really sorry for all of these who actually sent them money!

I just discovered this forum... too late!
I already sent the money to Tracy Jones. I am supposed to meet her the next week. But at this point i think i will have to find an other place to go for my vacation.
I posted a note on scambook.com named edwardo suite vacation rental.
I feel so sad for this. I mean. If i didn't discover you i was going to be there with two kids and noplace to go in !

I also fell for the scam and sent the $250 deposit to the younger sister of the contact.  My contact, Janina Richardson01@yahoo.com and the apt at 251 W 71st street were also used previously as seen above.  I didn't have the sense to check out the information before sending them the money.  I can't understand why these people cannot be stopped when they go to pick up the money.  This scam has been going on for almost 2 years now.  I got suspicious only when I emailed the contract back and received an answering email as to when was I going to send the deposit 'to secure the reservation.'  Since I had already been told that the deposit money had already been received in an email the day before, I questioned her/him.  So far, no reply.  I wish I could have found this site before!

Craigslist tells you to never send money. They tell you and they tell and they tell you. It's all over the site.

I am very happy to find all these testimonials. I exchanged several emails with Jannine. She sent me pictures, answered all my questions. but asked for testimony of those who had used the apartment and never recebi.Escrevi craiglist for 15 people and 15 were scammers. How sad? No one looks up the IP of these people? I started to find it strange that 10 e-mails I sent took several hours to be answered and when they did, the answers were all together, as if the same person under different names. How sad!

Thank goodness for Google! They almost got us. It's amazing to me that  craigslist doesn't or can't pull this from the database! The address most recently listed is 251 w 71
st new york 10023. There is even a NY registration #: 10029.

Unfortunately I found this posts too late and I send quite a big amount of money. When they ask me for more money the alarms rang (too late), I told I would pay for it when we meet at the apartment and got no answer.
This time, the remitent is Matins John, and the address maljoh220@yahoo.com. I sent the money also to Mira Carrico in Terre Haute.
I guess there is nothing to do, just to report it ...

I saw the adds on Craigs' list too and emailed two people: Tracy Jones and Rudy Wellington. THey both sent me the agreements and Mira Carrico was a PA in one, and a sister in Indiana in the other. So I googled Mira Carrico from Terre Haute and found this. THANK YOU for posting this information. I am sorry to those who lost money and let's keep up the good work and share this kind of information.  Craigs' list does say in info on 'about scams': NEVER WIRE FUNDS VIA WESTERN UNION, MONEYGRAM or any other wire service - anyone who asks you to do so is a scammer.

I'm so glad that I found this!!!

I've been in contact with Kimberly Wallace and got the booking form yesterday...
I had this gut feeling that I didn't want to make a paymet to Western Union, so I asked her if it was possible to make the payment to a bank account.
Her answer was: "Everything you have mentioned are available and included also i do accept Bank Transfer"
In the booking form there's a bank acccount in Bank of America and with the account name Barbara Castellano.

I just thought that maybe I should google this Ewardo-Suite, and I'm really glad I did!
The apartment was obviously too good to be true!!
Now I'll send her a last email and start looking for hotels.
