    I saw an add (Craig's list) for an Upper West Side apartment  for rent and inquired about the address and fees.  Luckily, I live in New York and was only looking for a weekend apartment in the summer, close to Central Park.  I googled his email address once something told me something wasn't right.  I am posting his email address here and hopefully it will help someone out before it's too late.  If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS!   There is no way ANYONE legitimate is renting out their apartment for $50 a day, which is what this Rudy person's add read.  Best of luck.  And may these scammers get what they deserve.

    We also almost rented am appartment from craigslist. We didn't like a contract agreement and sent them this e mail:

    i found an add on craigslist for a vacation rental in oahu hi that sounds just like the adds that are beeing refered to here. the rental co is known as hollyward-suites vacation rental. i asked for a contract agreement and they sent one right away. the contact persons name is debby wale. i strated doing some research on the person and the company but could not find any results. upon closer inspection of the contract, i noticed that the doc form was titled as edwardo_suite doc. although everything in the doc was listed as hollyward-suites. the terms of the agrement are listed exactly as the terms being discused on this forum. i cant be sure that this is the same scam but i think that i will pass due to the name of the doc brought me to this site.
