Quick response to email and texts, yet no working phone???? Texts that say "I am in a meeting" don't fly.

Well I was not too smart about this, I did send money I deposited it in a Bank of America bank account.  My sister did the same when she got there last night found out it was a scam!

Hi, i've been emailing a Debby Wale in Waikiki for the Hollward-Suite Vacation Rental. The contract agreement is exactly the same as the one listed above. I tried to call Debby 3 times but always got a goggle voicemail, Debby was "too busy" to pick up the phone or call me, she also wanted the payment & deposit transfered through Western Union to someone else in Texas. I have a feeling this is a scam as well and will not be pursing the rental. I will also notify the authorities.

When you walk into a Western Union office they hand you the little multi-page money transfer form to fill out. Page one, in BIG black letters, lists all the things NOT to use Western Union for. And that is everything, everything, except money to family & friends (real ones). NO real business would use it, only the scammers do because it is CASH. Anytime someone suggests that as a method of payment, it is a scam. 100% every time.

They didn't leave a message... but I just signed up on Rent.com (looking for an apt) so it seems that is potentially a site that is selling info, as the theme (rentals) is similar to the other comments on here.

I too found this add. Sounded to good to be true. Funny i had contacted many other condo renters an they were slow in getting back to me, but to my surprise Debbie Wale contacted me roughly every 5 minutes! She sent me a rental agreement which looks pretty real, it had edwardo-suite on the cover also, but at $50 a day I knew it as a scam so I played along with her just to see how far she would go with it. MoneyPak is a new wrinkle - it's as untraceable as cash.

You need to report this to Bank of America.  Since you have the bank account number they can track this person down.  They hate fraud.

My son was defrauded.  A Shannon Mink of Ukiah CA picked up the money from Western Union.  No response to phone calls now that she has the money.

Debby Wale listed the Condo in Oahu on Craigslist.. Glad I tracked the license number and was brought here.. Did initially think it was a scam, who the fuk requests money just be wired somewhere.. Tried to meet her first but she wouldn't. Anyway wanted to post the contract, hopefully others will do some research before throwing money at this.

1st red flag- Debby only wanted to communicate through her personal email instead of Craigslist
2nd red flag- I asked Debby to meet my friend who lives over there so she could look at it for me and she wouldn't do this
3rd red flag-  only wanted western union  or bank $ transfer
4th red flag- any date that I asked for was available regardless of this being the busiest month in Hawaii
5th red flag- seeing the pics and living in Hawaii in the past knowing that if it looks too good to be true - it's GOT to be a scam!!
Finally- my daughter warning me to realize that this has got to be a scam and unfortunately - people really do this
