I don't know who this is by they just called up and hung up on me without comment.

This is Applied Bank. My nephew had a credit card account with them. They were previously known as cross country bank. I warned him not to open an account with them because they sounded second rate. But he did an they folded like a tent and become applied bank. Sounds like two reputable organizations huh! Anyway, he recently lost his job and since he listed me as a contact when he opened the account, they keep calling my house non-stop. I've tried to explain to them he doesn't live here but they just keep calling anyway.

I have been receiving calls from the number +2239875200 over the past couple of days.  It seems suspicious, so haven't answered it.  My number is a NYC one.  I have also been receiving debt collection calls (probably from India) for someone else from an "unknown" number - not sure if that's related to this number.  I just got my cell phone number a few months ago, so I thought that may have been the reason, but now it seems a lot of people are having problems with this number.

I found out by chance - the number kept shoiwng up on my cell phone - but I cannot call it back from the cell phone -  What a sneaky trick!

I got calls asking for someone else named Terrence (they spelled it for me) from (866) 873-8592 twice a day for a long time. They are rude. They are Applied Bank. I never heard of them before. I don't have outstanding bills. I said you have the wrong number, do not ever call this number, can't take personal calls at this number. I think in California legally they have to stop if you say those things. It seems like they use a programed (2 times a day) auto dialer, thus there is sometimes no one there when answered. I called there east coast offices and told them to stop calling. That didn't stop them. Then I got "unknown" calls. Now it's +223 9875200. This is a special problem for me, as I am awaiting important calls from doctors and family. I tried to file with the FTC, but the online application kept saying "processing" . These people should close down their call center in India until they can get it together. My phone provider wants $5 a month to block the number. I say Applied should pay it's victims $11,000 per call retroactively, as they know of the problem. D.G.A.

Dear Everyone, I have just e-mailed the voice recording of this caller to our local Philadelphia ABC6 channel along with a detailed explanation about this rude caller. If you can, please send your e-mails to the same channel and let them know your concerns as well so these guys can be properly investigated. I even told the caller that as he was calling from India, he has no right to call the people of America and behave rudely with them. He also was violating the laws of international code of conduct as far as his rudeness was concerned, but he simply turned more abusive and therefore I decided to take this action. LETS BUST THESE OUT SOURCED MORONS ONCE AND FOR ALL. Let me know if you would like a copy of the recording for your local channel as well and please do not forget to record these calls by any means you can. These guys are also racists as they asked me if I was an Indian, which I am, but I do not think it is necessary for anyone to ask me such a question! MAY GOD BE WITH YOU ALL.

I get calls from this number. The people always ask for Chester. They never leave a message when I don't answer and it is different people for each call.

I live in Wisconsin and the #223-987-5200 has also called me. it left me a blank voice message so i called it back. the phone said that i couldn't call it from my cell so i called it from my home phone. then it told me that the number had been "disconnected". this is driving me insane!

I agree- it can't be about debt. I'm only 13 and I've gotten it!

calls early in the morning around 8:30, never leaves a message, but there is no such area code in the us for 223...Very Strange

I received several calls from this number and finally answered it.  It was a guy with an accent, saying that he was calling about my mastercard with archer bank.  I have never heard of archer bank.  He said they were trying to collect on a debt.  It seemed like a scam, so I told him to send me whatever information he had and I would review it. He got my email address to email me 'the letter that they had already sent me', but never emailed me anything.  Now I'm thinking I should have not given him my email address...

They called all week long asking for "Crystal," 4 times from "UNKNOWN" and once today from this number. More often than not, it's just a recording on the other end and then when you say "hello" someone with an Indian accent comes on. They've told me 3 times they'd take the number off their lists but it hasn't happened.

This stupid idiot called my cell phone number asking for a person name Patrick...what a stupid ass!
