- AnnI got a call too from someone asking about Medicare. Telling me about my back pain. Who doesn't have back pain? I told them they were violating the HIPAA law by having my information and asked if they knew they could go to jail for falsely identifying themselves as medicare representatives of any kind. They hung up.

- PollyWoman with an accent says she's calling from "The Pharmacy" about information that has been submitted about me. I asked who had submitted this information, she said she didn't know, maybe family members. I'd heard enough, I told her maybe she was a scammer who should get a real job and hung up. Sounds like they're fishing for medical information, maybe it's an identity theft thing?

- SharonI've been getting calls from this number for months on end. I finally answered. It was a woman with a foreign accent, gave her name, said she is from Pharmacy, and is replying to the info I submitted about my pain. They have the pills for me! Told her I have never had pain in my life and I submitted no info - where did she get that info. She then changed the subject and asked where did I experience dry skin - elbows or feet. I told her I don't have dry skin. She hung up on me. Telemarketers pushing pills over the phone - in this day and age of such high drug addiction -- I pray someone puts a stop to this!!!

- Jerry replies to VAMFortunately the new Medicare cards arrived here last week. No social security number.
- Jerry replies to jkflaThe Panasonic wireless series has a good call blocking routine. Takes seconds and if you block a call with the No Ring feature, a light on the top of the phone will flash, the call number goes into the list of calls but it never rings again.
I view call blocking as modern form of knitting and it gives me great pleasure. - Ishkabibbleleft no message.

left no message on home line answering machine - SpidermanSame as above. Some woman with an accent asking for me by name, Said she was with the pharmacy. I asked her which one, and she went in to her scam pitch. I interrupted her several times, but she kept going back to the script they read off of. She had someone behind her coaching, because she paused and the phone went quiet every time I asked a question. When I asked her the actual name of her company... Stuttering, silence, then hung up. Sure hope they call back. I am off today and bored. Insurance scammers got my air horn all day last week.

- SpidermanI must say that I am so happy to see these posts of people harassing them back. They are going to call you no matter what, so have some fun with them. The way I see it, the longer I keep them on the phone, the less time they to scam someone who doesn't understand it's not real. Seen it too may times, so I feel the need to help out. My rechargeable air horn is one of my favorite scammer tools. I hit 6 insurance scammers with it last week, and hope to get more today.

I asked how he got a list of medications and he said a loved one gave it to them. I told him he was guilty of a HIPPA violation and the authorities would be investigating him immediately. He hung up quickly
