FYI. Finally, Medicare is updating/converting their ID's from the SS number to a new random alphanumeric number. They began to mail out new cards recently. But, it is true; they used the person's SS number as the official number since the program began. A sign of a bygone era of honesty, and trust! Welcome to the new "enlighten" age of progress.

My elderly mother just received a call from 231-220-9753. The caller said she was a nurse from the pharmacy,  but wouldn't give a pharmacy name.  To sum it up,  she was trying to get medical information from my mother.  I told my mother not to give her any information and to hang up,  which she did.

A person just called and they were phishing for my insurance info. They are crooked as they can be. I don't talk about my insurance with anyone unless I call THEM.

Call from Michael at the "Pharmacy". He wants to sell me pain relieving cream. In reality he wants my insurance information so he can make bogus charges to it.

Received a call asking for my husband “Max” by name. Claimed to be a national pharmacy and wanted to verify information because they were awaiting the doctors approval to fill the prescription. I asked them which prescription and they said the topical medicine and then proceeded to give me our previous address (we moved 7 months ago) as the address they wanted me to verify.   I refused and ask them again what pharmacy they were from because there aren’t  any prescriptions waiting to be filled right now.  They asked if I was  “Max” and hung up when I said no.  I called the number back and got a recording it told me to press one to have my name removed from their called list.

Wow, reading through this massive list of folks called by these SCUM Bags is amazing in such a short time.  I don't know anyone in the 231 Area Code, so I simply blocked it.  What I would like to see as opposed to blockers would be a phone that would only allow calls from accepted callers/numbers where numbers from non-family/friends could submit their number(s) for acceptance.  This way I could enter family numbers; known numbers from Doctors or professionals I use.  Then those who submit their number to me would leave a message and I could do the research and choose to enter, or not enter their information.  Until you are on the list, the phone simply does not ring.  I understand that the SCUM that conduct these calling actions may at different points in time spoof an accepted number, but those chances would be very few and far inbetween.  Not to mention, non of them will be able to pass themselves off as one of my family members.

They exist and are called white list devices. Easily found on the internet if you take the time to look.

Same happen to me today.  Called my husband by name.  Asked if there was a callback number since I preferred him to respond.  Would not provide one.  I just told them to remove our number.

Caller ID said Muskegon, Mi. The caller was a woman with a heavy accent and high background noise. She asked for my husband by name and said he needed to ok a pain medication with a pharmacy. I said he was not available and she asked if I was his wife I could give the ok. I said I am not approving anything and she said she will call back.  I called back the number later and the message said I could remove our number from calling, and I did. Obviously a scam.

Caller said she was from the pharmacy and knew I was in pain, had a cream that would take care of pain. She had my address and work number and also the name and address of my doctor's office. I told her I wasn't interested and she said she would send a statement for me to sign and again, I told her I wasn't interested. Finally just hung up.

I'm half convinced that the company that sells the 'blocker' makes these G.D. calls!
When I'm expecting an out of state call, I answer.    This was an Indian Accented 'lady' who said she was calling from the pharmacy 'about my pain'.   What a [***] way to do business.  I told her I was calling the police, as I've been instructed to do.  She said "You don't even know what I'm calling about!"  I said "Either do YOU."  and slammed the phone.  God only knows what 'who' got from how long I was on the call.
Dear GoD!   If someone wants to IMPRESS VOTERS, get this bullsh*t off our backs!    I am sooooo sick of it. We PAY for our phones.   This is THEFT, Harassment, and illegal.  Where the hell is the FCC?
