Got one yesterday suggesting a lowering of interest rate on credit card. Previously that it was going to expire. I wonder if they use a pre-paid phone card or have a two year plan!!!??? And if it's just a proxied number from an initial one in Nigeria?

I received autodialer about lowering my credit card debt sounding urgent.  I knew it was a scam, but I wanted him to stop calling. (please!)
I asked to put on his do not call list and informed him that I was on the do not call registry.  It's a $14,000 fine to call someone on that list.  He said that the do not call list did not apply to him.
so, if he calls you, please file a complaint at the gov site too.

the more we complain, the more likely he will receive the fine for each our calls.

This number called our surgical center this morning.  It is bad enough to call a home phone number, but calling a business line is completely out of line.  I will be looking into this and hopefully some heads will roll!

I too got this phone call today.  Almost called it back thinking it was a neice I have in the Naples area ...LOL!  Checked here first.  Its great this site has a comment section!

Have gotten several calls from this number...I have reported it to the No Call web site

We got a call on 12/23 in the AM. We also are on the Do Not Call list - what a joke. Anyway, they were asking about credit stuff so my husband hung up.

Received call from this number 10:32am... did not pick up.  It is a land line through Embarq Florida out of Fort Myers

I got a call from #239-482-3803 on 12/23/2008. Caller ID said it was an unknown name. Since I don't know anyone with a 239 area code, I didn't try to call back. I thought I'd look and see where the number came from and found this site.

Got a call from this number, don't know anyone in Florida. Went here and figured it was a BS call.

I've been seeing this 239 area code number on caller ID for a while, but finally answered today.  Pressed 1 to talk to them as directed.  Asked the man who answered for the name of the company and he said "Account Services".  Strange name for a business.  I told him I was on the national do not call registry and he hung up on me.  I reported the call to the do not call website, but I doubt they have the funding to follow up on anything.

Got a call at 1:45 pm. Didn't answer cause didn't recognize number.  No message left.

We receive calls from this number on a regular basis. I have never answered it until today. I hit one to see what was up with these calls and speak to a real person. Knowing full well that I have zero credit issues and zero problems with any existing accounts. A real person named "Wan"  answered, clearly of Mexican Descent. Wan explained to me that I hit one, he had to say that several times to me. I said I am quite aware that I hit one, NOW, WAN, I hit ONE Tell me who you are and why you are calling. He continued to say, you hit one for a lower rate. I said yes, now tell me WHAT COMPANY YOU ARE CALLING FROM. He said it yet again, for I think the sixth time "Sir you hit one for a lower rate".

It's the infamous American Debt Negotiators once again.

got a call from this number this AM. I hit one and got a lady that sounded like she was not enjoying what she was doing. When I begin to question her, which the first question was "who is this", she name the company and then I really begin to quiz her. she hung up immediately.

has anyone called the local sherriff and did it help? Is it worth our while to do this?
