This number called my cellphone.  Threatened to get my address and place of employment.  Said I was being investsged for fraud.  Called my office.  IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO CALL PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT OR  FAMILY OR ANYONE ELSE.  I have no idea who or what they are talking about. They call so much I want to sue them!  It's a scam.  Trying to fool people and scare them.  When will these vile criminals stop!

Called and the recording was threatening.  Said I was being investigated for fraud on some bogus loan.  Went on to say that they will be getting my address and place of work.  Scam right off the bat.  Real debt collectors already have that information.  I hope the Government gets the scum...

Extortion Scam:
It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid. 

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

I keep getting the SAME exact message every single day. UGH. It is a scam. I want to call them and scream at them. I just might

Though I will say, it sounds like they have a new robo dialer. Voice was different and there were significant lags in some of the speech.

I received the same message & left some kind of case # damn shame these predators should be locked up

HA,  should be Liars and Scam Artists
I called to get their name they said that they were Litigation Specialists and asked if I was (place extremely generic American name here). I guess they get people to say their correct name by wanting to be helpful and correcting the error of the scammer

Exactly the same scripted words he said .. i got scared at first but i pulled the number out on google ( “2403181314” ) and this is what i read.. so now i feel okay and not having this negativity in mind.. coz i never done anything bad like he said.. 😖☺️

Yes same here. 2 years plus been harrassed. And i have no clue who this person is they are looking for. Cursed me out as well when i asked to remove my number from the list.

I started receiving phone calls about a payday loan that I never took out. They gave me the address of an Ace Check Cashing on 7517 Landover Rd, I contacted them and they told me it was fraud. I since have called 202-836-8570 and 240-318-1314 so much trying to get a physical address and website, they've disconnected their numbers. Flipped the script on Mr. Taylor and Vanessa Washington.
