- ColleenAccent from India. Tried to tell me that my brand new computer is at risk and that I need to do something with Microsoft Windows . When someone says "now listen to me ma'am" in a stern voice....I'm done! I told him that this is a "scam" and that I am reporting the number.

A scam!!!!!!!!!!! - Really? replies to c baker| 1 replyDid you expect anything to be done? Get a phone system that allows you to block numbers, and move on with your life.
- EssCall screened; no message. I do not answer ANY calls unless I know who it is. My understanding is that if nothing else, there are people paid to simply locate active numbers and when you answer or call back, it simply confirms it is a working number. I also tell people I do business with that if they do not leave a message or show the appropriate name on the ID screen, they risk getting their number blocked.

- Make it stop! This same man with an Indian accent has called our home repeatedly. Just hung up on them the first couple times, but after daily calls I figured I'd have a little fun and jerk them around. On one call, the guy started cussing me out after I called him a liar, so I asked what his name was and asked to speak to his supervisor. He told me his name was Steve Jobs. Apparently our HP computer with Windows is in such bad shape, the Apple guy called from beyond the grave to warn us. I couldn't stop laughing but managed to tell him to pick a new name for next time and preferably someone still living.
- AnnoyedThis number calls several times a day, always with "name not found". Nobody ever speaks on the other end. AT&T unable to block the number, which is usual with them. I know it's a scam, there is no rea code 247 in the U.S.
- jkmbThis is total bulls**t! I told this sand n****er I know that it's a scam and not to call back! Didn't even give him a chance to respond and hung up. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!

- Laura SmithGot a call from this guy saying that he was from the windows company and that my computer was infected. He asked me to sit down at a computer and get ready to write things down. I told him in no uncertain terms to not ever call back. This was the sixth call he has made and he was very threatening to my Mom during the last phone call. He told her, "I'm going to keep calling you."
- JDJust got my first call this evening at 5:14 PM and knew immediately when I saw the number it would be a scammer calling. I just wanted to see if I could learn enough to warn others and have a short bit of fun, then told the woman to transfer me to a call center in America, but she transfers me to a man with the same kind of accent, so I told both of them about their butts and hung up, rebooted my laptop then came back online to do a search on the telephone number from these scumbags.

They will have you start the "Event Viewer" log in Windows. (start / run eventvwr). They will show you "proof" from your event logs of "your infection" and you will see MANY ERRORS and WARNINGS listed in this even viewer. This is normal. It DOES NOT prove you are infected.
Once you see the events, they will ask you what you do when you browse the internet and ask if you go to Facebook or shopping websites. When you admit you do, they will tell you that you have been visiting insecure sites and you are infected. Their next step, which I did not get to do (more later), is to advise you that they can fix it for you but you have to provide a credit / debit card for the service.
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY payment information at all! They are thieves and prey on people that do not know better.
When the "tier2 tech" asked me about my browsing purposes (shopping, Facebook, etc) I let him know that I know his game, that I have worked in the IT industry for 20 years. When he realized he was caught, he started calling me names and became very hateful and belligerent.
Microsoft does not make calls like this. Please protect yourself. PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCHEME! - RichMy grandmother keeps getting the calls from this number. I've told them before I do not have a computer, we have hung up on them and now because I told them to take my number off, I was called a Mother beep! Which I replied something not so nice either. They want to play, I will keep them on the line pretending to access my computer and rack up their phone bill. I would recommend this to anyone who is getting calls from these jerk because eventually they will figure out people caught on.

Then I told him him if he thought for one second, I was going to let him remote into my pc or laptops, i'm not that stupid. He cussed and hung up.
