Someone posted on this site how to get them to stop. They are a crooked agency who buys old debts (sometimes for other people or debts already paid) For much less than what's owed on debt, then try forcing you to pay.

Do a web search for "John Oliver debt buyers" ... Midland is a BIG ONE.

Also search up Midland, they've been sued. If enough people fight back we can get rid of them.

Perhaps you can find the post on this site about appropriate steps to fight back.

Reporting them to FCC and state department are good places to start. Also check if your state has a do not call list that's separate from the federal list.

"Perhaps you can find the post on this site about appropriate steps to fight back."  Amazing how it is right there in front of you, in a reply to you with the link and you can't find it.

My landline at my house has been receiving calls from 248-216-1534 about 3 - 4 times a day for the last 2 weeks.  They start calling every morning around 8:00 a.m. and continue at 9:30 a.m. and then in the afternoon.  When I pick up the phone, they hang up.  I finally figured how to block phone calls on my landline.

I answered because I was expecting a call.  He had a foreign accent and asked for the wrong person.  I just said that it was the wrong number and hung up.

Midland Collections (or one of their flunky subsidiaries) is very fancy name for bunch of low life collectors that use gray area tactics to collect 25 to 35 cents on dollar for an old or statute expired debt that they bought in bulk for about a nickel an account. The caller is not interested whether or not you've settled already, or even it is your debt. Why? Because the floor supervisor is riding shotgun on the callers to produce, and worse, without actual collections, they make less than a hamburger flipper in Burger King! If you want to get these guys off of your back, get with your state authorities. The ambulance chasing legal division knows all the tricks to get around the Feds!

Callers are most likely debt collector/scammers.  Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.  They will not stop calling.  Callers are located most probably in India and Pakistan.

it's not a scam necessarily.... they're calling for a company that bought a debt that i had with a credit card company. in my case its not very old ( maybe a year since being charged off)... it does sound like you're calling india though. they've been letting me make small payments on the account, def not the worst collection agency i'm currently dealing with

Called for first time on 11/18/2017 at 8:19a.m. Caller ID showed Milford, MI.
Again, this company seems to be scammers because they called a whole bunch of people between mid November and late November. I'm going with scammers.

"unknown name" on the caller ID. There's no reason a collection agency would be calling me.
Yet they called me too.  This is PURE SCAM.
