"OH, I must have the wrong number"

Recorded message from an outfit offering loans of up to $250,000 to businesses.  Said to call 866-404-0428 for more info.

Female.  Oh, I must have the wrong number.

I just received a third call from the same female voice - "Oh, I'm sorry, I must have the wrong number."  I just now have caller ID for the 3rd call.

The companies name is Capital Merchant.  They are offering business loans.  They never stop calling.  We have asked them many times to take us off their list.  They frequently change the caller ID.  They are now calling us under this number and ID but we have seen many others in the past.

I was just reading back through the other posts and noticed something.  Someone uses the name 'Lawnguy' above.  We might have something in common.  I own a landscape company. This Capital Merchant company might be attempting to target companies that buy equipment.

A womans voice saying, I am sorry I must have called the wrong number. They are targeting all businesses. I have a beauty shop. It is after 8:00p.m. when they call. I have my shop at home.

Phone rings, but recorded message states I'm sorry I must have dialed the wrong number.

Have a beauty shop too .. IT's 8:30 PM!!!!

Capital merchant calling aka North American, again!  call back to their toll free number 1-866-404-0428 told them to take the number off their list.  They never do!  Time to file in court I guess.

i get these calls 2 or 3 times a week - alweays in the evening - a huge waste of my time - my guess - they are validating a phone list - then they passit off to a human to call and try to sell us the world -

how do we get rid if this?

We are a Towing Company in Modesto California just got a call at 8:02 pm from North American.  Lady said Im sorry I must have the wrong number!  I see a pattern here we should call them back and mess with them or something.

They called twice last night, the first time it showed North American - 248-283-6080 and the second time it showed Unknown Caller. Funny part is it was the same woman both times and both times she said she had the wrong number.

I too have a salon in my home and these calls always come in after 8:30p.m..  I'd like to know what the purpose of the Do Not Call list is.  They can't keep up with the jerks because they change their numbers, call with recordings or a toll free number like my prescription company uses so you can't just NOT answer because it could be related to a medication I've ordered.  I know I'm sick of it and they seem to be laughing in all of our faces.  I get these calls every week, sometimes three times a day and I am on the do not call list and even re-checked it three weeks ago.  I've filed several complaints and there has never been one follow up to my knowledge.
