- Alan C.Don't these scammers get the message? I get calls two-to-three times daily from 253-243-1143 and have this number blocked. Although my mobile device does not ring when they call, it still displays the total number of times these scammers tried to call me via my call log. KNOCK IT OFF YOU MORONS !!
- EI have gotten calls from this exact same number at least 4 times over the last week. 2 times i ignored it, and twice I answered.
Guy with India accent claimed he was a Microsoft tech and my computer was sending security breach warnings.
Whoever maintains this needs to add a new catagory for call type. prank call is the closest i see in the drop down, but a prank call would be like the kind Bart simpson makes to Moe's tavern. Annoying but harmless, these can be insidious and damaging to someone who does not recognize it for what it is. Maybe like fraud call or something- Call type: Prank
- BriaConstant weekday phone calls sometimes 3 times a day. Usually a man with indian accent starting they are from "windows". Have repeatedly told them to remove my number. I have even gotten rude and swore at them. STILL CALLING!!!!!!
- Hate Robocalls! This is just outright harassment! I have been keeping track of some of these 'robocalls' and this fake number from Kent, WA has called me 7 times that I have recorded over the past 2 weeks and many more times before this. The only time I answered it was the infamous guy with the Indian accent with the computer virus scam.
I just cannot fathom what they get out of calling the same numbers over and over again with the same scam. Perhaps they think that none of us have any sort of long term memory. I realize that this is a volume 'business', but these are the dumbest thieves I've heard about.
I hope that this be resolved at some point; it is just so annoying!- Caller: Fake Microsoft Scammer
- Call type: Telemarketer
- WhymeToday this gentlemans name is Jay Smith. Same number still trying to scam!! Very stronge indian accent beware! lol
- JmtThis number continues to call. I have reported them to the Do not Call registry. Had a break from them but just now received another call. I don't answer. I have told them I am reporting them. They don't care. Had one tell me I was stupid for not listening to him. Really??
- Caller: Claims to be Microsoft
- Call type: Telemarketer
- G kasselI got a call claiming they were with Microsoft - it appears to be a scam from reading others accounts of this - we got disconnected and when I called back the number was disconnected - scammers
- Caller: They say Microsoft
- joegot the call I didn't say anything, just listened.....5-8 secs later I heard a beep...thats it....TOTAL [***] DON"T ANSWER!
- shirleyReceived a call from the above said number ,it sounded like the person was whispering unable to understand
- Caller: unassigned
- Hate Robocalls!Getting calls from this number since July 2013 (more that 10 times since I started recording some of these numbers). Same routine with the guy with the Indian accent with the same computer virus scam. Amazing that these idiotic calls come over and over again with essentially the same scam. Just an amazing annoyance!!
- Caller: scam caller
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Brendagot a call from this number this morning. Did not know who it was said no name only the number so I refused to answer the call
- Matt from VirginiaScam, scam. scaemmity-scam-scam! :-) Caller identified himself as calling from the IT department of Windows and wanted to discuss error messages on my computer. I laughed and told him I knew he really wasn't from Windows. he hung up on me.
- Caller: supposedly Windows
- ladihawk replies to Jayvee1-253-243-1143 (Kent, WA) Foreigner who I could barely understand said he was from Microsoft and that he was calling to help me with my computer problem. I played his game for a little while and asked him if he was calling everyone in the country about this problem. He said, yes and I asked him how he knew what computer I was sitting at and acted in 'awe'. haha. He quickly caught on and said, 'oh really?' and hung up. Awe shucks!
- PrePaid| 1 replyPeople ask why... Follow the money... Firstly and most profitable is, as people age their brain degrades, assuming nothing else kills you first, your mind will get to a point where if you answer the phone you will believe what they are selling and someone is going to get suckered.
Another motivation is the phone companies make profits on all calls regardless, they can in my case make a significant amount, as simply answering a call, they will bill me $2/day(so there is alllll those prepaid customers who will answer, get billed and 'just accept it'). So the phone companies won't fix anything...
It would be nice if you could block all but approved caller lists, or that a call receiver could *code a call to lodge a complaint and after X compaints the caller would have to pay a fine/file report etc(to get their phone working again)... it would be easy to stop, but follow the money.. - Lisa VincentSaid that my computer was giving them error messages and that they need my license number from my computer. Have received these calls before. Told the man to F**k himself and to quit calling this number. Was going to report him.
- Caller: no name
- Eldest808when i answered it was a robo call saying good bye.
when i called the number back the number said it was out of service. - Chuck replies to Bobyou didn't happen to make a perches on the internet that week from amazon I am just wounding if there is an relationship I got the same call today?
- LInReceive calls with no message left. When I call this number back, it says it has been disconnected or no longer in service. Apparently they are disguising the actual number where the call originates.
- Lin replies to PrePaidThe truth is, it is all about cash flow; it gives these people jobs and they put in their time and get their paycheck. Never mind that they are a nuisance (at best) stealing other peoples time and hard earned money targeting the vulnerable. Even the few people that genuinely want to help often have their hands tied by the system. It is a sad commentary on our society.
- pdlReceived a call from that number, same Indian woman saying my windows computer was sending them errors. I told her she had the wrong number, but she kept going. I told her: "I am not interested, thanks" and hung up. I immediately blocked the number so they don't call again.
- Caller: Smart?
- Call type: Prank
