Call 253-656-5016. Of course I called the number and there was no answer, or recording. My phone has an app that showed this number to be SPAM. Is this a new scam??

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. - RisJust received a call claiming IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. First I heard of this and nothing ever in the mail. The number it told me to call is 253-656-0057. When called no answer. My dialer callback number says the call came from 607-767-0057. If you call this number it says its not in service. Must be a scam.
- Caller: IRS
- bonnie replies to john| 1 replyJust got 2 calls that IRS is suing me. I did call back with no answer.
- TheSageOneIRS is suing me (Laugh out Loud! PURE CLASSIC SCAM FROM THE GET GO!!! Got 2 calls Today about 4 hours apart, from UNKNOWN (618-465-8138) asking for a return call to (253) 656-5016 and NEW YORK (607) 562-8715 asking for a return call to (206) 317-1651.
Appears to be the same woman's voice on both calls, the second call drags a little in an attempt to slightly changes the voice.
Biggest tip-off, IRS never calls you, they send a Registered Mail Letter, that you have to sign for in person. 2nd tip-off
is that IRS stands for Internal Revenue Service, not "SERVICES" (in the plural). IRS does not sue individuals - - they file a Tax Lien. They do not attempt to get a hold of you, they officially notify you in writing (Registered Mail) after the fact - - after you have already been caught breaking the law. Any government agency trying to call you would know your name and use it. They most likely would also provide a file or reference number for you to provide when returning a call.
Hope no one gets stung by returning one of these calls and giving out personal info. Be sure to tell all your friends and family (especially the elderly) not to respond to one of these SPAM CALLS.- Caller: Posing as "IRS"
- CWG40 replies to AlexNo it's an old scam. Been around for years.
