NY, USA they left a message from the IRS I'm getting sued.......Laughing Out Loud

253-656-5016. Scam. My question is, how my private phone # got distributed to scammers?

Happy belated Thanksgiving. A few minutes ago I got a very threatening vm from 253-656-5016 as well. Obviously a scam since the IRS doesn't call people. Among other things, the message said that we have been trying to reach you. (This was the first call I had received) Blocking the number now.

BRIG IT ON BOZO..................You made your fake call, now, bring on your fake suit...........

Received this scam call today.
Am reporting it to FTC.

It didn't - these are just robo calls.
My phone # is also unlisted.

I got a voice message staying "This is official and final notice, IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and wants me to call back at 253-656-5016.  I called and its voice message said, "the person you are trying to reach is not available, leave a message."  I hung up.  Not even a name given.  SCAM for sure.  These foreign countries really think we are stupid, thanks to our politicians.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

message was that the IRS was suing me. Call was from NY number 607-363-9777 to my cell phone when I was in Orlando, FL. The message told me to call (253) 656-5016. When I tried that number there was no answer. I see multiple reports on the internet of similar calls. Not sure how the scam benefits anyone since there is typically no answer to the return calls.

Rcvd recorded message with female voice stating they were calling from the IRS and this was our final notice.  The phone call was from 585-599-3948 and they asked us to call 253-656-5016.  The IRS does not call.  They send registered letters.

11/30 received same call twice today same message as all of you from area code 253

I got the same TWO calls.  A recording saying it was the IRS and they were going to SUE me.  However, the two calls I got left two DIFFERENT call back numbers - 253-656-5016 and 206-317-1651.  Didn't call - not going to.

I received this call yesterday and it really frightened me. My husband said the IRS does not call and leave this type of message.

call from 972 453-9831 # saying IRS suing me.  Left 253 656-5016 which I will not be calling back

Just received call from 707-822-9870 saying IRS is suing me...Called back and actually got a person (who didnt sound from this country) and hung up so should I believe its a scam still since I called back the 253-656-5016 number it left me

I got the same call from  18188906843 a California call claiming to be sued by the IRS and i need to call 12536565016
