My wife got a call from this company as well.
I use Log Me In to access my mothers computer, so I wonder if there is a link there.

Received a call from this number. My wife answered and said the woman had a heavy accent and there was noise in the backGround . something about my computer..
I didn't call back

THIS IS A SCAM. Read about the your-PC-is-infected scam here http://news.softpedia.com/news/Cold-Call-Tech ... on-150170.shtml They lie about your PC sending out malware, error messages, etc., to frighten you into giving them remote control of your PC to fix the nonexistent problem (don't let them!), find fictitious errors, viruses, etc. on your PC that they now want $$$ to fix. If they ask you to open the systems tab in eventvwr.msc to see all the errors, these harmless errors are *normal* for any Windows PC (mine has several and it runs just fine). Don't let them take control of your PC because they can download *real* malware that can steal your info including online bank logins in addition to ripping off your $$$. THIS IS A SCAM.

Ya, I too get these calls, but what can be done to stop it, file charges, shut them down.  No need to complain about it, we all know its a scam and it sucks, but what can we do about it...

You can't complain or get a US phone number on the Canada  Do Not Call List at the CRTC website https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/pfplin-fccoin-eng.  They have a form and it will not accept the phone number 253-802-0308 (from Auburn, WA).

Call from 253-802-0308 - no answer, couple of clicks, looked it up in Google and confirmed that it is an (attempted) scam..............

Same thing.....what a joke.  I hope someone finds these guys and hangs up up real high, like in the movie True Grit.   Please never give any information out to a caller like this.

I have gotten several calls in the last month or so from this number.  I have told them repeatedly not to call again!!  Today the person with a foreign accent argued with me about losing my computer.  I told him that was fine with me and not his business!!!!  We are on the do not call list, so why can they keep calling?!  Is there no way to stop them?!   There must be a way to prevent the calls.  I even filed a complaint on the do not call website about these calls.  Any ideas on what else we can do?

I just had a call from 1-253-802-0308 and I said "hello" and a womens recorded voice said "goodbye" and that was it????  Very very strange.....

I got this call today at 3:22 pm from an Indian sounding man, whom I could hardly understand, telling me about a virus infecting my computer. He said he was from Microsoft but the caller ID said only the city as "Auburn, WA" and MS is in Reding, WA.

I didn't fall off the Turnip truck yesterday, it was actually the day before, so I let him talk until he asked me to turn on my computer so they could check for the "virus". I've NEVER gotten a call from Microsoft before so right away I knew it was a scam and told him in no polite terms where he could put his phone and hung up on him.

I am also going to fax the info to, and call in the morning, with the information to Minnesota's Attorney General and let her know what's going on and see what they can do about it.

Rec'vd another call,this time I answered. After listening for background noise for a moment I said Hello. Silence. Said Hello again, a soft,foreign voice said GOODBYE!

I got the same call form this guy.  As soon as he started in about my computer, I knew he was a scammer.  So, I played along and acted very concerned.  I had a ton of crazy questions for him about my computer and how it might impact my Business.  I went on and on about the benifts of Tupperware.  Of course I don't have a Tupperware business, but it was fun to pretend for a while.  I figured if he was burning time with me, he could not be scamming someone else.  When I got bored, I asked to talk with his supervisor.  He got angrier and angrier and then started into the same profane language that others have reported.

This number has called me repeatedly 4 to 5 times a day and claiming we have a security system with them and need to update my information or they are offering me updates with the system. This has been going on for about 3 months. I am so frustrated with this crap. I have yelled at them to stop calling and it may stop for a day or two. Then starts up again. I don't have a security system. I now refuse to answer the calls now. How can we stop this with out having to change our phone number.

I received a call from 1-253-802-0308 this afternoon but since i  have develop a habbit of not picking up any number i don't know, i did not pick up and no message was left. I'm glad i did not pick up that foolishness.

I got 3 calls within 20 minutes - no one one the line???
Called the number back and was told that the number was not assigned???
I am also on the "do not call" list in Ottawa, Ontario
