I have had the same experience as above.  Called WellCare customer service and after finally getting a rep, she told me that this is probably a scam number calling; an 855 # also they know for sure is a scam call (don't have the exact number).

Caller ID said Wellcare (267-954-9957). I do have Wellcare but was suspicious of a robo call and hung up. I called Wellcare customer service and was told they were calling with a survey about customer satisfation, however, she never asked what number was on the ID so I still don't know for certain if the call was legitimate or a scam.

That number has been disconnected or no longer in service when I googled it.

Too many personal questions!

Roscoe once again!  Happy New Year!  Actually greeting for next week.  Received the call on a land line, WellCare was on caller ID.  Left message.  Wanted more information from my mom, to call back an 855 number.  Did not let her call number.  Like Remo Gaggi says, “Why take a chance?”
I think I left notes on this outfit in years gone by.

Got this call today on my mobile phone. Did not answer.  Got a voice mail with this: "Hello, this is WellCare calling for (my name). We need to gather some important information from you. Please call us back twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week toll free at 1-855-958-9866 again to help us gather this important information,
Please call 1-855-958-9866. TTY users should call 711. Thank you, and have a good day. Goodbye."   I called the WellCare customer service number on my Wellcare membership card and they called the 1-855-958-9866 number to check it out.  Turns out it is a legit survey from WellCare about their service and how you feel about it.  I told them I do not do surveys and was told that I do not have to call the number back to take the survey.
These kind of calls always make me suspicious.  A non-toll free number wanting me to call a toll free number and give up personal information.  Turns out this one was legit.  1 out of 1000.

Just got call from the above number saying they were Wellcare and gave me an 800 number to call back. Glad I checked here as it's a total scam.

Automated message from Wellcare.  Caller ID identified 267-954-9957 as the caller number.  But, the message wanted my son to call back at some toll free number.  I think this might be a scam call.

Scam identifying themselves as WellCare! Don't answer & block!

They called a left the same message as everyone else has reported above.  Same numbers to call as well.  Instead of those numbers, I called the customer service number on my Wellcare card.  Representative assured me they needed no further information from me and I should ignore any future calls from 267-954-9957.

They used a robocaller to say they were from WellCare, which I do have, and asked for me by namebut then started asking personal information, to "verify" that I am the right person.

Needless to say, I hung up.

Shill alert! Go on, tell us why you looked up a known phone number when logically you would have no reason to do so.
Besides, even if "it is a valid number" for Wellcare that doesn't mean all calls from it are from Wellcare. Or have you somehow never heard of phone number spoofing?

Just experienced same things as everybody else posted here.  I of course did not answer any unfamiliar phone calls.  After checked some posts, I found Wellcare official site has different answers for their customers inquires regarding calls from 267-954-9957.  Some said it's a legit survey call, some said it's not from Wellcare and it's a call from scammer,  That confused me.  Wellcare should post a unified answer on their official website regarding this issue.

Same as all of the above. I have had Wellcare since last year. They have my info. Always mail info to me, thought this was a scam. I don't answer any phone calls since they are basucally all scam calls. This did sound legit. Thank you for this website.

Recorded message from Wellcare need to gather "important" information. Please call 1-855-958-9866 24 hours a day. Curiously, I called the number that called me. (267-954-9957) The first question asked, "What is your birthday? " I hung up. I use Wellcare....and they know my birthday. Scammers looking to get your info.

Looking back on these replies, it seems like someone wants to make a little extra money at Christmas time.... This is NOT Wellcare calling us.

Block this number. How do these scammers get the names and phone numbers of their potential many times elderly victims anyway. Did WellCare have a breach of confidential member information????
