This number appeared as a potential scam on our caller ID.  They left a message saying they were from WellCare and needed some important information and to call #1-855-958-9866.  This number didn’t match any numbers I could find on WellCare site,  cards or their plan information pamphlet they sent out earlier.  Therefore, I’m ignoring this!

Am guessing that this is some outfit hired to do surveys for WellCare. Very annoying and poorly done. Blocked.

Automated system calling from Line Lexington, PA, directing me to call back at a different number 855-958-9866 "to gather some information to make sure we are doing all that we can for you."  i called the Wellcare number on the back of my Part D card, wich is different and once connected to Manilla, asked to be given to a representative in the US.  They did and the gal told me that Wellcare has been getting complaints by many member sof calls such as this.  She further said that Wellcare is NOT calling members.  I dont know if the first call is legit, but I hever only been called by Wellcare in response to a callback request I mad eon an issue years ago.  I would be war about taking the 267 number calls and giving out any Medicare information,.

How do you know you were "connected to Manilla"?

Because that is where that company's customer service is located.

They are still calling using this number in December 2021. Blocked the number.

They called it was a survey about their drug program.

Since writing the previous post, we have had several more calls from "Wellcare".  Automated message stating that they have important information, etc.  Interesting that these calls started after we contacted Wellcare on a billing problem.  Annoying, to say the least.

Phone call today 12/8/2023 from 267-954-9957 on my caller ID stating that they were from WellCare asking for me to call back, that they needed some information. I looked the number up on the internet and saw that it was probably a scam so I blocked the number.

If Wellcare really needs to contact you, there is a messages section on your account on the Wellcare website.  They could use that.  I don't care who "they" say they are, when I get a call telling me I have to contact a certain number and it's "urgent," I am immediately suspicious.

Wellcare. The callback number is 855-958-9866. The "important information" they want to know is if you have Medicare Advantage and then to sign you up with one of their Medicare Advantage plans.
