I received 4 calls from this number this morning.  For the first 3, nobody was on the line.  On the 4th, a fellow with an Indian accent started saying he was calling about my computer.  Because I have received dozens of these calls over the past few years, I whistled loudly into my phone a couple of times, and then said "that was my computer".  He got mad, cursed me, and hung up.

My call degenerated into profanity, with him calling me lovely names. When he brought up my mother, I hung up. So annoying. I hate to think they are scamming seniors.

Received phone call from Andrew stating that I had a problem with my computer. The person had an Indian accent. I informed the person that I had no problem with my computer and that I knew that he was a scammer. I told him that I was going to report the phone call and told him not to call back again. The person hung up on me.

A man (Indian accent) just called and asked for my husband. I told him he wasnt home and that I could take a message. He said "(Husbands name) computer has been hacked and I need to get into it. I immediately started laughing and said "That is ridiculous". He repeated himself and I said 'Screw you!' Then I hung up. People are really searching these days. Come on!

Same old, same old.  They or someone similar have been calling here for several years.  Before I had caller ID, I answered as I could not tell who was calling.  And it was something about my computer being invaded by a virus and they will fix it.  I won't answer now, but if I should I would just say  "I have no computer".

I got the same spiel about an error being sent to Microsoft from my computer. I asked why Microsoft was so interested in my Apple Computer... They hung up...

A call originating from this number arrived today.  When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller hung up.  According to www.411.com, this is a landline in Cleveland, TX.  According to many posters (see above), this is a computer repair scam artist with a heavy Indian or Parkistani accent who has probably robocalled thousands of numbers (given the many pages of complaints) to entrap victims.

DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM.  DO NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.

I answered to see what scam I was going to get this time. He said the same as others have gotten, that in the last two months my Windows computer is sending error messages due to a virus. I listened for a bit, then let him know that I don't have a Windows computer. He hung up.

Scam trying to hijack your computer.  Caller says error signals from your computer indicate that there are viruses.  He will ask you to do things to your computer.  Don't do it!  Instead, just act as if you are, and string him along as long as possible.  At some point, tell him that your computer crashing and emitting smoke.  Cheers!

I called the FTC and spoke to Mark while filing a complaint. He confirmed that they require a significant number of complaints in order for them to take action. Hopefully others will continue to take action.

Caller with slight Indian accent asked for my recently deceased 96-year old father who has not lived with me for for five years.  Wasted as much of his time as I could, then commented on his ancestry and personal habits and terminated the conversation.
