REceived a call, one of many in the past few weeks, today.  Did not answer

The "Do Not Call" registry is meaningless to these people. Thus the rampant Caller ID spoofing. One telemarketer spoofed a number that turned out to be a neighbor's number.

I am not a Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) fan, but I would support his "Truth in Caller ID" bill. Many times I am on call for chemical plant/refinery emergencies.

Yeah, they called after 9pm and I told then it was too late and to not call back... they are still calling.

Come on it is Dinner Time.  We are on the NDNC list. This is uncalled for.  I told them I was on the National do not call regestry,that they should readit and to make sure they take me off their list. I received a call the other night, I believe from this organization, and asked to be taken off their list.  I've now received calls on each night since then (just didn't answer).  So I guess my request wasn't honored.

Received numerous calls - unanswered until the phone rang after 9pm. Reminded caller it was after 9pm and I'm filing a complaint - remove my number immediately - haven't heard from since

receivd two calls within a couple of hours. ID 'consumer research' did not answer Ist call. answered 2nd call, phone was hot but no one there....caled # back just kept ringing no answer.

as most, i will not answer a # I do not know. but these jerks call and call. wish a law would be passed to stop this. are a new type of tone that would go over the line and FUBAR their equipment from my phone.

as many have mentioned. elections coming up. HOLLY CRAP. with an unlisted number and on the do not call list. my # rang at least 8 X's a day. and my message machine was filled with CRAP that I did not want to hear much less receive.

I will just throw this up here. a Bud that is a puter geek with a puter co. told me that if you type your number on the WWW it can and will be picked up by people who want to use it and even sell it. So, he types his number kinda like dis. der could be a 2 den a VII den a juan. do not know, just sayin.. thanks for all the other input. except for the guy that trys to make it sound like he is doing us all a favor by calling us with that stupid A-- survey.

Just got called by this number at 9 PM. Didn't answer. Google it and found this website. Anybody know the source of how they get cell numbers. I almost never give out my cell. I forward calls from Verizon office phone and have a Verizon home number.  Cell is AT&T.

My cell got the call at 6:15 while I was watching the news.  I had it charging so I went over to see the number and when I saw an unfamiliar area code I knew it was a junkcall.  I see by the history this number has been in use for 2+ years, as a survey outfit, home security marketer, etc.  We have a local election coming up regarding a casino proposal in our city (near Boston) and a statewide election for U.S. Senator (to fill the open seat left by John Kerry) so I'm guessing it might have been in regards to one of those,  I read through most of the comments, lots of frustrated people, some very angry, some amusing, and a few just hilarious.  I especially like the ingenious ways some of you have for dealing with them when they call, wasting their time, tricking them, etc. To  those of your really bothered by these kind of calls, we have just learned  to ignore them, we check the caller display and let the machine pick it up. If they call back a few minutes later I just pick up the receiver, wait two seconds and hang up without saying a word.  That usually does the trick.

So, let me get this straight. This same number has been reported since 2011?

Probablythe  "dumb ass" of the year award goes to me.answered the phoneshe sad she was with the research company...asked for youngest in the house(me) asked if I knew of credit unions in the area.
..then the involvement of the "volunteers" of them....then asked my area code and bank that I use. And as busy as life gets....in the midst of just finishing high school I didn't think twice and gave it to her....so now I run the risk of whatever scam they are trying to pull......low life jerks.....

I recieved two calls within 15 minutes from them answered both times in two different languages and they hung up on me.

Consumer Research is not a company that I wish to talk to . Wish they would stop calling.

I would suggest that you save this number in your phone book and give it the name DO NOT ANSWER.
That way, when they do call again, you will not be tempted to pick it up and you should not be charged for the call.

I received a call from this number on my house phone. I really don't care who's calling, all I do is start my fax and if a live person is on the other end, all they would hear is the squealing of a fax machine and hopefully would not call again. This procedure worked on another number. They would call two or three times on different days, then calls would stop.

Just called after 9 pm Georgia time. Located in Texas. How these [***] got my cell number I'll never know but I will be blocking this number. I've called them back and let it ring for five mins and no one ever answered...lo Guess they didn't want to talk or didn't know the number...lol Hey just keep calling them back and tie their lines up all day.

I got a call took their survey worst put together survey ever (It must be local survey admin by a company in TX because it was about a bill in my state GA). I gave conflicting answers and pointed out how bad this survey was. The person on the other end seemed frustrated by the end; they haven’t called back so that’s good. One thing I could tell this isn’t an Impartial survey The person on the phone tried to steer me into supporting the bill in question.
