got a call from this #, hit 1 and spoke to a man who said he could lower my interest rates on my credit cards.  When I asked what co he said he has accts with mc, chase, visa, discover etc...When I asked why my credit card companies couldn't lower my rates, why did I need him he hung up.

You have to call the FTC and Do Not Call Registry and file your complaints with them. 800notes.com website is only a forum to make your complaint known.

To have your call investigated you must make these phone calls. Otherwise, the calls will continue.

Caller ID listed as "HOUSTON", when called back message indicated the phone number had been disconnected.

Got a call from 281-982-2498, they left no message, call came in at 5:40 pm

This is a scam tring to get your finincal information.  If you try to talk to them they call you more.  Just hang up.  I have been reporting them for the last couple of years to the FCC and Do Not Call List.

automated machine calling every night saying that i could save on my interest rate and to press 1 and hanging up when I'm asking not to be called

Got a call from this number. Said it was my final notice to lower my credit card interest rate. I get a lot of 'final notices' from callers like these. When I hit 1 to get through and asked to please be taken off their list, I was immediately hung up on.

Called my cell number.  All cells and home phone are registered on the DO NOT CALL list, so I am pretty angry!

Love your answer.....you called me...  I can't believe someone would say that to you, though!!  How awful!  Definitely a scam.  When I tried calling the number back, it didn't even ring, it just beeped and hung up...

I just received a call on my cell phone. I didn't answer because I was on the phone with my daughter. They left no message. I got on line. Entered the phone number and saw all these posts. I am in a habit of not answering calls from numbers I don't know. I will continue with my habit. Thanks everyone who posted.
