Got a call just now, seems like a scam, my mom has been getting these calls recently too.

Both my husband and I have been receiving call from these people on both our cell phones and our land line.  I would love any information on who these people really are and how to contact them so I can report them.

I have received several calls from this number, first time I asked what company they actually were and the man hung up on me, second time I asked to be removed from the list and the lady apologized for wasting my time, and today I got another call from them. After I said that I had asked to be taken off the list the man hung up.

I just was called from this number, googled the area code, brought me to the listings for the number, Clicked on this link, and to my surprise I am not the only one who is being pestered from this number.  I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer, although, I was tempted because my brother calls from Afghanistan on a calling card with an area code that starts similar.  So glad I didn't answer now.

this will be another number added to my list of "wrong" (a contact that i created with no ring....generally speaking, i do not answer unfamilar numbers and/or area codes).  the call will still come in, but i won't have to locate my phone to see if it is a legit caller.

Repeated calls from this number with same recorded message about interest rates, etc... Scammers and money grabbers.

This company has called me several times at home, they are supposedly a company to reduce your credit card interest rate.  They instruct you to press 1 to speak to a friendly agent and 3 to discontinue the calls.
I have pressed 3 every time that they have called and they still keep calling.  Now they have been calling me on my cell phone.  Both, home & cell number are on the DO NOT CALL LIST.
By the way, when they called me on my cell phone they did mention that they have been trying to reach me at home, but when they called me at home I have always pressed the #3 to discontinue the calls.

Uhhh, I doubt that 281-982-2498 checks this website to honor requests such as yours. Plus, they'd want to know your phone number so they could find it in their database so they could take it off if they even gave a rat's @$$. Better you file a complaint through donotcall.gov, although nothing will probably happen with that, either.

FACT 1 - the DNC list CLEARLY does not work!  Everyone knows this...or should know this!
FACT 2 - filing a complaint with the FCC does not work!  A total and complete waste of time.  Done that.
FACT 3 - having an unlisted phone will not help you.
FACT 4 - asking/begging telemarketers to take you off their call list – you’ll get laughed at!
FACT 5 - no "class action" law suits are being filed and certainly, none are being LITIGATED.  
FACT 6 – contacting the BBB – LAUGHABLE!!!  The BBB is a corrupt organization that sells their ratings to the highest bidder.

Call blocking phones are very inexpensive $40-$60 and they come with, at least, one wireless handset.  Very, very convenient.

Uniden and Panasonic make CALL BLOCKING telephones.  They’re cheap - $40-$60 and they usually come with a 2nd wireless handset.  COSTCO & AMAZON SELL THEM.  

                     They work beautifully!  These phones also block
                  “PRIVATE,” “OUT OF AREA” and "UNKNOWN" calls!!!

I have had the same home number and the same business phone number for over 15 years and my home and my business lines (both published) seem to be on every call list imaginable.  I bought a Panasonic call blocking phone for my home and I bought a Uniden call blocking telephone for my business.

NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH TELEMARKETERS.   THEY CAN’T GET THROUGH!

We can stop these telemarketers IF we all buy a call blocking phone.

I received a call from 1-2819822498. The person said I could lower my interest rate on my credit card accounts. But when I aked him which one, he could not answer. I asked since my wife and i have seperate credit cards was this for me or her. Then he hung up on me.  Sounds like a scam to me.  He could not identify bank or person.

Same here.  Once I told them to take me off the list, they just hung up.

Received cell phone call - rang 3 times and then quit when I answered with a 'hello.'
August 16, 2011  10:55 a.m.  I am on the no-call list here in Wisconsin so it is a surprise to learn from other messages that it's a company.

Get calls from this "lower your credit card co" frequently,but always from a different #. Have reported many of the #'s to Do Not Call, but still get them. What do I do to stop them?

Just got a call from them and they didnt leave a message.
