"This is Rachel from card member services..."

Rachel...die, wench.

Basically they random dial, play a recorded message from the hot babe known as Rachel, give you the impression that they are somehow tied into your credit cards, then they get you to give them a credit card number with $3000  on it. Then they take your $3000 and laugh at you.

These people are right up there with child molesters.

just had a call with the same recorded message. i hung up and did not press 1 to talk to a "friendly customer service representative"...

Sounds like a credit consolidation thing.  VERY deceptive message and dishonest message regarding having sent mail to my residence already.  Sounds alarming like perhaps a credit card might be overdue until the recording revealed it was an offer to "lower credit card interest on all cards to 6% if you've got at least $3000 in debt and one card in good standing, just press 1."

They just called my number,  I did not answer and they did not leave a voicemail.

you people can save yourself alot of aggravation by simply not answering your phone when you see a number you don't recognize...on the 8th day God created caller i.d.

They called,  answered NO ONE THERE.  I'm on the National Do Not Call List. Please put a stop to these callers.

I got the call from that number.  If anyone can identify where the call physically originates from, please post that info here.  Some friends and I would love to pay them a visit in person.  The calls will stop at that time.

They've been calling for the past several months but it is increasing.  Yesterday I stayed on the line through the recording and got the guy who probably hasn't finished high school.. Told him I was on D.N.C. list so stop calling me.  He continued with his spiel about my credit card---didn't say which one.  Told him again not interested and stop calling.  After that I was getting calls every 10 minutes for next 2 hours.  Finally stayed on the line and got another person-female, young- and asked what the name of the company was.  After long pause she hung up ----and at least the calls stopped.  I'm maddest that it's a recording and they do not give an option to discontinue their calls.  Today they called me on my cell phone.

It is a company calling to lower your credit card rate, I pressed was it the 1 or 9 and
got a real nice lady and told her I don't have a credit card and to please stop calling
my home. They usually hang up on you when you ask them to stop calling.

You may be able to block that phone number from getting through. I know I can with my Verizon acct, and I would be surprised if other carriers didn't offer the same option. I'm going to do that right now.

Same as everyone else basically...received call on my Caller ID. No message left..figured it was telemarketers..

Every week and several times a week I have been getting these pre recorded calls from Rachel... this is the last time to lower your rates (I wish it would be the last time)
I have filed a complaint always with the do not call registry.. nothing has been done.
I have dialed one to get connected with a live person and ask them to be removed from my calling list.  The supervisore said I would be taken off... but I still keep getting calls...
Now I will waste their time and pretend to be interested.. giving them false information... if nothing can be done, let me waste their time as they waste mine!

Yes.... this happened to me today (10/13/11, 3:45pm) and when I pressed the ONE, a male on the phone came on and asked if I was responding to lower interest rates on my credit card ... I asked which credit card he was referring to (myself knowing that I also do not have any credit cards), he hung up on me.  When I tried to return the call, I, too, was told that the phone number was no longer in service ... hmmmmmmmm ....

Please remove me from your call list, I have verified with my REAL Credit card company that you are PHISHING....

It seems that within 24 hrs after making a transaction with my bank, I get a recorded call from "Rachel or Heather from Credit Card Services" that nothing is wrong with my credit. My bank denies they have anything to do with it.  Between Rachel and Heather and whatever financial institution they are marketing from, it should be against the law to continue to solicit customers over the phone like this.  What a waste of bail out money from the government because the money spent toward junk like this banks and financial institutions could be helping those that really need a helping hand. The phone numbers are always changing. Plus I'm on the Do Not Call List, what's wrong with this picture? Is this a scam or what?
