Here is the fake message: "Calling regarding an enforcement action executed by the US treasury intending your serious attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense." I hope these idiots are caught and jailed.

How do we shut these folks down?

This is a scam coming from India.

The words they used, while try to sound official, betrayed them; Those words they used are not commonly in the commonwealth, let alone in US;

Also, nevermind the accent nor the fact that IRS or states franchise board WILL NEVER contact you by phone.

They claim that they are treasury , or irs or call immediately, they used difference number to me for more than a year.

Just received the same call telling me I could be jailed if I don't respond. Man said his name was James Caston.

I just got the same message!  Crooks.  I just blocked the contact.

I'm not sure blocking will do you any good. This is the second time I've received that same message from different phone numbers, apparently coming from completely different states (the first caller ID said originated from McKinney TX, and this one from Middletown DE).

I received the same message. I use to get the calls from Cali, not it's McKinney, Tx and today Middletown, DE. So annoyed!!!!

scam, scam, scam,,,,,and a lame one at that.... same bs recorded message supposedly from treasury dept. Take note,,any official legal action taken where you are involved will involve official notification by USPS with explanation and the appropriate departments and phone numbers for you to contact for further information.   If I had//wanted to waste a few minutes I might just call them back to play with their heads and egg them on....nothing like screwing with a scammer for a little comic relief.

Same thing here. When I called back they even said they were the US Treasury Dept. I cussed them out and they hung up

Got the calls too, but blocking it does not help because they use different numbers. At least in my case I've received the same message from several different numbers.

I have received several calls and some were slightly different from others. All were with Indian accent. I agree that the feds and state officials don't call you. They mail letters. Also, booking the calls will not help cause they use different numbers. You'll end up filling you Blocked Call list but they will use another one.

Also received this scam. Claiming to be Robert Matthews of the U.S. Treasury.  Threatening with police and arrest. Demanded I go submit a wire transfer, but not hang up the line with him.

I've also had this message many times before and they just called again today.

Hopefully everybody web searched first and didn't waste a dime calling them.
These guys are scammers and criminals and have nothing to do with any part of the US Government.

Our local news had a story about this scam a few months back.

Maybe we can all break out of jail together and live wild in the forest! Call from (302) 279-3069     Middletown DE     Today 02:27 PM     01:17 of message threatening ME!

Same guy just called me!! Wish they could catch these people.

I got a call from James Caston too. Same 302-279-3069 call back number. Totally fake!

Caller said his name is James Captain, representing some magistrate.
302 is for Delaware, but seems also India??
