- rootI have Sprint and I just received the "customer service issue, american express service frozen. please call 303-325-7300" text message. I called from a land line.Got a message to input my CC # -NO WAY. I also got a text that my visa service was frozen, called that from a land line and the mail box was full. THEY ARE EXPANDING THE SCAM
- ButchAnyone have the number to contact Sprint drrect?
- peterpan replies to kb| 1 replyDuh, Sprint is not giving out phone numbers.. The blocks of phone numbers that are owned by sprint are not a secret or any other company for that matter.. this is a scam calling blocks of phone numbers that happen to be Sprints phones when they are down with those (if they don't get caught) I'm sure more blocks of phone numbers will start getting calls , could be any company.
Are you that stupid to think that a Telco company as large as Sprint would "sell" numbers to someone for any reason when that same info is free. - BuddyGot this text message on my Sprint phone 12/11/09 1:01 PM PDT
"9099:customer issue, american express service frozen. please call at 303 325 7300"
Surprise. I don't have an American Express card or account. Why doesn't someone shut these scammers down? - LisDitto the same frozen message - Amex this time. Don't even own an Amex card. Received this message on several of our sprint cell phones now in the last month. Wish one of the credit card fraud departments would feed them a trackable card number and shut the operation down.

- ravenfirecustomer issue, amercian express service frozen. please call 303.325.7300
- MichaelAmex this time also. I called into the 1-800 number on the back of this card and found this site while I was on hold... glad it's just another lame scam. Hopefully Amex Security can track down these scumballs.
- DavidJust received one of these text messages as well.
I don't have amex and no bank would send a text, scam! - DrjaneJust received one of these claiming my Amex account is frozen. Got another recently about another unspecified account. Very annoying. What can we do to shut them down?
- Caller: Unknown
- not happyreceived the "american express card frozen call immediately" message or some form thereof. I did not call back, I don't have american express nor would any of the companies text such info to my phone.
- Caller: Sprin
- spammers suckGot the same text only supposedly from American Express. These are crooks, people, and they don't care if you're on a Do Not Call list and they can look up phone number blocks on the Internet for just a few dollars. They hope to score with 2 or 3 people and then they move on from another phone number. It only takes 2 or 3 suckers to make it pay for them.
Bottom line: don't be a sucker. Always go to the web site where you have done business in the past securely. Never call any phone number but one you can verify on that web site. Don't use a number you get in a text or voice mail. All reputable financial institutions have 24/7 emergency fraud numbers on their sites. Just go there if you think it might be legit. No reputable source or caller will try to tell you NOT to go to their regular web site. The moment someone starts saying "don't go to our web site, it's not safe" they're a crook. - Vladimir Moreno replies to TomI've been getting text messages from this number too. I called and follow the instructions to see what it was, SCAM SCAM, of course I did not provide any of my real information. BE AWARE, they want you to type your credit card info on the pad key so they now have your name, number and credit card. PLEASE DO NOT type your real number on these SCAMS numbers.
- Rob James replies to Suki| 2 repliesGuess what, this is my phone number and it was stolen or hi-jacked from Vonage. I can still login to my Vonage account and see my number and can see that hundreds of people from all over the country called my line in the last couple days but when I call my own number it goes to the scammers system. I am very, very upset about this as this number is on my business cards and website, etc... Now people are trying to say that my business is a scam but I did nothing. Somehow Vonage and/or their partner allowed my own phone number to be hi-jacked. They just opened a ticket and they told me they will get to the bottom of it.
- Rob replies to SukiBy the way, my 303.325.7300 number is not capable of texting. It is a Vonage line and it cannot text. Somebody has hi-jacked my phone number, I suppose to a cell phone or some system that can send massive text messages. I am really upset about this. Sorry that these scammers stole my phone number. How would you feel? Vonage says they are going to fix the problem.
- Robb JamesGuess what? My business phone number is 303.325.7300. My phone line was hi-jacked. I just called Vonage to inquire as to what is up. I am really upset right now as my phone number was hi-jacked and people are writing negative things about my company and phone but it is not me doing this.

- Forehead replies to SukiThis is a scam. My Sprint phone received this text from 9099: "customer issue, american express service frozen. please call at 303 325 7300"
I called and heard a message from "American Express" prompting me to enter my 1x-digit account number, which I did. It then prompted me to enter my expiration date and x-digit security code, which I did.
It then said, "thank you" and disconnected the line. I immediately called the AMEX hotline on the back of my card and, fortunately, was able to resolve the issue without any problems. - CherieFriend just got a text saying AMEX account has been frozen call 303-325-7300, when you call the number there is a recording that says AMEX please put your account number in. Yeah, so they can turn around and use the number themselves. Do NOT put your number in. AMEX has a 800 number not a 303 number.
- Caller: A Fraudulent Company claiming to be AMEX
