I reported to Do Not Call

I've gotten several calls from this number in the past couple of days - they never leave a message.  Today I answered one of their calls and it was a telemarketer wanting to talk to me about my "Car and Driver" magazine subscription.  I told him I don't get that magazine.  He told me, "Maybe it's your husband's?"  I told him, "I don't HAVE a husband."  He apologized and hung up.  WEIRD!

I'm on the Natinal "Do Not Call" list, but I still get these weird calls at times.  Now I've got a list of numbers I need to report.  How do they get away with this?

Ok, so we've received dozens of calls from this number in the past couple weeks. DOZENS. When we don't answer, they just hang up- no messages on the machine. However, I finally answered today because I was fed up. A man was on the other line and asked for John (who is my husband, but I didn't say so). He wasn't home so I said he wasn't available and could I take a message. He then said he was calling in regards to his GolfDigest subscription and wondered if it was arriving on time and in good condition. I said, "I wouldn't know, you'll have to talk to him. He'll be home later tonight after 6." He thanked me and hung up. A couple hours later (!) the same number called AGAIN!! Different guy this time. He asked for John again and I said he wasn't available could I take a message. He said he was calling to inform John that he was selected as a preferred customer and then proceeded to tell me that prices of magazines are going up and that he could renew for a 70% discount. He even said that most of the other customers had agreed to the new offer. (haha!!) Then, asked me if that was something John'd be interested in. I replied with, "Well, not really given that it was a gift subscription, which frankly, I'm surprised isn't noted in your information. So, no it wouldn't be his decision to make to renew the subscription." Basically, I think my response called him out on the fraudulent nature of their business whatever it is. He just thanked me and hung up. I just said, "Oooohkay." I'm concerned that just by saying he had a subscription may have been giving them the information they wanted??? Anyway, something needs to be done about this "Reade Rocky" caller. Who should it be reported to?? I feel like the Do Not Call registry can't do anything about it??????

I just called the number back. The prompt indicates no company name and notes at the end to those who would like to be removed from the caller list need to leave their number. "If you don't leave your number, we can't remove you from the list." Here was my message: "Please remove the number... (my phone number) from your calling list. If I receive another call from this number, I WILL report you."

We'll see what happens...

calls several time a day. daugher picked up phone man asked for me by my first name when she said I wasn't here who is calleing they politely said thank you and hung up. ususally we don't answer and of course they don't leave a message. if I don't want to hear the phone ring I pick it up and put it back down

Called me FOUR times in six hours today but never left a message.  We don't get any of the magazines listed by other posters - and are on the Do Not Call list.  They won't accept calls when Caller ID is blocked.

I get frequent calls from this number identified as "Rocky Reade" but I never answer.  I have do not call, so don't know why this is happening.

Received numerous calls from this number, up to 5-6 per day for the last week.

Have received this call at least twice daily for about a month

It sometimes comes up as Rocky Reade and other times comes up as unknown...but still with the same number

they won't quit ringing my phone then never leave a message. QUIT

Caller rang three consecutive days with this I.D. : Reade Rocky at 1-800-303-422-1887. shortly tereafter i received but did not pick up on calls from a Ken Samson at 1-301-779-5279. Caller I.D.; NYS DNC Listed and National DNC in effect since 2002 and renewed semi annually this is scary. In a fit of annoyance I picked  up the phone to have this guy solicit me for a magazine publication which I have willingfully allowed to go into expiration. I indicated to this caller that I DID NOT RECOGNIZE HIM nor did I SOLICIT his contact. He stated at that time that he would follow up with calls to confir my mailing address and additional information. These calls, came in as Private Caller with no trace number I am directing a letter of notification to this party (CROWN MARKETING, INC.)(READE ROCKY)stating that this has been a violation of the laws of NYS and other entities and that I am pursuing all avenues to curtail this activity.  Please look into : CROWN MARKETING INC.

We have also been getting calls here from 303-422-1877 several times a day for over 2 weeks now.  Called the number back and each time got a voicemail with a man's voice saying to leave the number if you want to be removed from the list (does not identify who they are or what they want).  Son answered phone one time and lady asked for my husband (asked for first name only).  When he said that his dad wasn't home she just hung up.  Husband called and left messages twice and finally after yet another call yesterday I left a threatening message to get it to stop. Well, at least it stopped today, we'll see...

What's really sad is, we subscribe to a magazine that we ordered through a MADD representative.  Only thing I can think of is that they put our number on a list.

The caller ID says Rocky Reade, but a Google search shows the phone belongs to Melvin M Callender. (303) 422-1877, 6205 W 61st Ave,  Arvada, CO 80003.  You'd think they'd be smart enough to make it so that you can't do a reverse lookup!

We have been receiving calls from Rocky Mountain Reader asking for my daughter.  I just handled two consecutive calls within 5 minutes from two different sales reps.  They claimed they were calling about her subscription to Rolling Stone Magazine.

Sounds like they are just a telemarketing company that sells discount magazine subscriptions.  They call very frequently and are not very tactful.

Hello, are you reporting these jerks to WWW.DONOTCALL.GOV, if we don't all complain they'll keep it up.

They have been calling me for days now - leaving no message.  Finally last night my husband answered the phone and he gets a recording asking him to stay on the line!  Today I answered their call and told them to take me off of their call list and they said they would. I am ALSO on the DNC list! (for all the good THAT is doing!!!)

Persistant over the past several WEEKS - yes, WEEKS - several calls a day.  Never a message.  Annoying!!!!!!!

Answered my phone.  Wanted to give me a good deal on soap opera magazine.  Said NO THANKS.  Very polite person, didn't argue.

Receiving at least one call per day. Never leaves a message. I'm on DNC list.
