- RAUL replies to JENNIFER SMITHYA, SURE JENNIFER, I MEAN JESUS. NOW YOU ARE ALSO TALKING IN ENGLISH. JESUS, HOW CAN YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT AFTER:
A) TAKE $400.00 UP FRONT, AND SAYING ITS 'TAXES'
B) WORKING IN A TIME SHARE THAT RIPS PEOPLE OFF
C) NOW TRYING TO LIE AND IMPERSONATE FAKE SATISFIED CUSTOMERS
D) USING JESUS NAME IN VAIN, YOUR NAME IS NOT EVEN JESUS, IT IS "5 STAR VACATIONS." GO TO CHURCH AND PRAY TO THE REAL JESUS FOR FORGIVENESS SO YOU DON'T GO TO H*LL! - RAUL replies to JENNIFER SMITHJESUS, ONCE AGAIN NEXT TIME USE A DIFFERENT COMPUTER (WITH A DIFFERENT 'IP' ADDRESS) FOR EVERY FAKE SATISFIED CUSTOMER YOU ARE PLANNING ON PRETENDING TO BE. AND WAIT A COUPLE OF DAYS IN BETWEEN EACH POST, MAYBE IF YOU DO IT LIKE THAT IN THE FUTURE YOU CAN FOOL ME AND EVERYONE ELSE ON THIS POST.

- KimberlyUNBELIEVABLE! This exact thing happened to me yesterday. I was listening to a radio station (not Spanish - 100.3 in Dallas) and I called in after a question had been asked and they told me I had won a trip to Las Vegas and that all I had to pay was $99 in taxes. I'm leary of things like this so my gut told me not to give them any kind of credit card until I had done some investigating. I told my best friend who is an attorney about the deal (or lack thereof)and he found out that it was indeed a scam. However, the number they were calling me from was a "425" number. The exact number was 425-496-1910 and I spoke with "Genoveve." Who knows what her real name was though. Glad I saw this blog... I told them I would call them back today with my credit card number (which I'm obviously not giving them) but instead I'll just call back and let them know that I'm fully aware of their proposed "vacation package." Thanks again.

- Scammed! By 5 Star VacationsMy dad told me he won a trip & that if I called up "they" would transfer the trip he won to me (4 days in Orlando 3 days in Daytona & Park entry- all expenses paid except flight & taxes). I called, they sounded professional & took my debit info for the $314.29 plus taxes. Something did feel funny & now I feel so stupid after reading this website. I don't even want to admit this to my husband. Calling my bank didn't help- they were suggesting that I cancel my card & wait to get my new card- which is not a viable option for me since I use this card for everyday expenses. My other option was to complete a "dispute form". I now feel resigned to go along with this... I finished calling "5 star" & they told me I couldn't get my $ back & that when I asked about the time-share commitment, they said that would only be a morning-breakfast situation & that I would get 1 day at Universal, plus 1 day at wet &wild (&/or?) Disney Quest. :( then they go & politely wish you to have a nice day.
- NimoI got a call a couple of weeks ago from a company called 5 Star Vacations telling me that i won a car. And all i have to do is pay the taxes, which amounted to 400 dollars even. I gladly paid it, they told me that one of the rules in order to receive my prize is to sit through a time share lecture, in Daytona. And right after the lecture i would receive my car and the keys. I got a package in the mail with a written contract from them telling me that I will get the car and the make and the model. I said ok I signed it and sent it back, it looked legit. I took my friend with me to Daytona, so that he can help me drive one of the cars on the way back to my home in South Miami, we sat through the lecture and then, after the lecture i asked where is my car? they told me that there was some kind of mix up and therefore there was delay and instead the car will be arriving in a couple of weeks, and i will have to go to a local car dealer in Miami to pick it up. Two and half weeks later I finally got the car, but it was a toy car. I took it to my attorney and he said that there is not much i can do. Because it said on the contract on their vacation package, that I will get a car, but they didn’t specify it was going to be a real car. All they wrote was that I will get a car, the make, and the model.
Please don’t do business with this company.- Call type: Telemarketer
- BettyNimo, you are an idiot as well as all the other people on this post who were scammed. I hope that you all learned your lesson for the future, that next time you are told you won a prize, NEVER PAY UP FRONT! If you are told you MUST pay upfront to claim a prize, then its a scam! For those who DO pay upfront, you deserve to bite dust!
- Natalia replies to Carlos and Jaunita RamirezThank you for letting me know. I almost fell for it.
Natalia. - JLGOIts a scam, I called yesterday and all of the sudden a lady picks up, you're the # ten caller, she asked me if this was my phone number, I said yes, and she told me that I qualified for a free trip too Vegas and that they will call me back, about a half hour later a man called me and asked me to name 2 singers name one that is called El Caballero de la Salsa and I forgot the other one, anyway, I answered them and then they said that I've won a trip to Santo Domingo and another to Puerto Rico because I ansred both. The man was talking fast trying to rush me, and I asked him what radio station I was calling, he said 96.3 which was wrong, anyways he kept on talking asked for my address and my age, i gave fake ones, and all of the sudden he said that I have to pay $4,000 and to give my bank acocunt info to the contract officer, I said to him no no no no nono no and hanged up. today I recived a call from Sweet Suites Central, and I asked what was that, she told me it was Sweet Suite Central and I asked again what was that, she growl and hanged up. Okay, but anyways, nothing its free in this world don't fall for any scammers tricks to make you buy something

- Concerned Radio Station ListenerThere was a radio station contest that I called in for and "won", and they took my name, address, and phone number. The number that I called for the contest was 1-866-666-1114. Then someone called me back from 305-599-3227. They told me I had won a 4 day, 3 night vacation and only had to pay taxes. They insisted on getting my credit card information. I'm glad I looked up the number here.

- Carmen replies to Veronica| 2 repliesYou win noting. Check out an entry for 305 599-3200 5 Stars Vacations/VGC Corporation from a father named Carlos. File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, The Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, The Federal Trades Commission, and the United States Postal Service. It's easy. You can do it via internet. Make sure you get all the details of what was offered but don't give them any financial information. Tell them your experience...it's really important. And yes these guysy speak Spanish.
- CarmenPlease make sure that if you complain to the Better Business Bureau about this companies verbal agreement to award you the vacation package "prize" and the company responds "Customer purchased back in mm/dd/yy....etc." Your rebuttal recaps your experience of winning a prize via radio. Also make sure your rebuttal shows in the link. Mine did not even after providing it 2 times and advising them through the link provided several times. I had to use the contact us and get an e-mail from the manager in order for the rebuttal to appear. This company has 86 really 87 complaints. 50 of them "resolved" as "Agreeing to perform according to their contract." I wonder if all the rebuttals got through?
