They called my office line.  I answered, but no response other than a couple clicks on the line.  So, I hung up.

This is the very reason I haven't had a landline at home in 5 plus years and I only give my cell# to friends and family. I recently put in a $4000.00 phone system with caller ID and VM at my office because I spent all my time answering JUNK phone calls and I LOVE it. Anyway these folks called like most and didn't leave a VM.

kept getting calls from this number but never answered them, decided to google it and found this website, Now, I know to never answer it. Thanks for making this website!

Eastern lady who I could barely understand wanted to speak to my husband about his medication.  I asked if she was from our insurance company and she said, "When is a good time to cal back?"  I said, "What is your number and I'll have him call you."  She gave me the number 800-945-1731 and said her name was Jessica Jones.  When I asked which medicine it was regarding she said a medicine that he actually takes.  I said I'd have him call her back.  

Seemed fishy so I googled the number and here I am.

Lady said she was from PBS and asked to speak to my boss.  I told her he was not availabe and may I take a message and she hung up.  
These people are lower than telemarketers, they are theives and liars if you ask me.

This call has just started no message. I am on the National Do Not Call List.

Received our 10th++ call from this number.  From reading all of the above comments, I suspect that this is indeed a "highjacked" number from Wyoming being used by scam artists in foreign countries. Unfortunately, I can not find out where you can call to have these people stopped. And it seems that no matter what you do will not stop them from calling again.

Now I've been getting calls from this number. A few here and there, then tonight I actually answered. A woman with a heavy East Indian accent said she was from "Simple.net" attempting to sell me a new internet provider. I interupted her, told her I'm on a two year contract with my current provider and hung up.
I tried calling the 301-215-1001 that showed up on my caller Id but got a message that the number was disconnected or no longer in service. No sooner did I hang up with that and my phone rang again. This time there was no one on the other end.

I had this number call both of my cell device and no body i mean nobody has both number...I got my manager involved and as always he came thru and I feel so much better now..thx b

lately getting calls from 307-215-1001. at least once a day. but the thing is, when the number starts coming through, it stops abruptly after 1/2 rings, like it was a bad connection and couldn't get through, and usually tries again, ringing till the voice mail message, but not leaving one. But this time it rang once or twice and stopped- and the phone says 'no line' but if i pick it up it sounds like background noise- like it got thru and wont hang up/ somehing. anyone else?

I just received a call from 307-215-1001 - when I answered the phone there was no response - not dead air, but no response. Only moments before I had received a call from a source that did not show a number. After punching the right numbers to get to a live person the guy claimed he was calling from some company that represents different credit cards and they were could give me a great rate. When asked how he came to have my number he said, in the very arrogant tone he used throughout the conversation, that if they had my number it meant they had sent me a letter letting me know about the lower rates. I told him I had received no letter, and further more I have received these calls on a regular basis, they are very irritating and I wanted my number taken off the list. The second call (showing the number in question)came less than 10 seconds after hanging up from the first. Coincidence?? I think not.

they keep calling...when you anwer the phone now answers but they keep calling although my telephone # is on do not call list. Thesee people are clearly flaunting that.  When the answering machine goes on they hang up. This happens every other day sometimes late at night or early morning.  When you call back # displayed on caller id it tells you that that the # is no longer in service

Got a call from the Wyoming number (Unknown Name 307-215-1001) at 3:44 pm on July 30, 2008.  We live in Southern California.  The individual who left a message on the answering machine sounded like an Asian woman.  She kept saying our last name about 3 or 4 times in a row.  There was lots of noise in the background - like people talking loudly.  She then laughed and hung up.  We are unlisted and also on the Do Not Call Registry, so it is a mystery to us how she got a hold of our home number.

They call everyday but didn't answer when I picked up...I'll report them to FCC.

Called several times and a couple of times when I answered somebody in halting english told me that they weren't selling anything but that that wanted me and my wife (im single !!!!!) to know about our choices for home contractors.....!!!!! ( I rent) even though I told her these facts she proceeded to tell me about home contractors like a robot....!!!!! and they keep calling......even tho I've registered my # several times over on the do not call registry.....personally I think the registry is a scam....and has not helped at all...coz they still call

we got a phone call from a middle eastern male that was cautioning us that there was a murder near our home and he worked for the FBI and was coming immediatly. we did *69 and got  307-215-1001 and only got some disconected number from Wyoming. Researched and found out that it was some chessy a** fraud just spoofing us. tomoro we will contact the FCC and file a complaint.

Received call at business asking for me by name - lady heavy acccent  started talking after i said this was me and then click- no response on return call.  Caller i.d. shows this number-  After all these posts is the FCC following up on this somehow? no doubt a spoof caller id number.
