I received a call from this company saying my dog caused an accident - I told them I do not have a. Dog that runs loose and he got very hateful with me

These guys are chasing , they say, State farm claim against a payment state farm had to make against a property that some people I know lived in, first they were out of house early dec, she rented home in jan and filed damages in feb 2013, that means other poeple caused the damage and now State farms uses these jokes as a collection agency, oh by the way, the lady who owned home also rented a chop shop next door, why police aren't closing them down, oh well, can you say payole!!

I kept getting harassing calls from this number about a hit in run accident. No one in my household has been in an accident withing the last few years. I asked them to send supporting documentation to verify this case and I then received generic paper work with no signatures or contact information and on top of that it was addressed to a unknown person. It contained inaccurate information. This is defiantly a fake law firm trying to scam people I then contacted my local police department who informed me that they are probably scammers based in an entirely different state. Do not give out personal information to these people.

my son ran into a car (that had slid off the icy road) last winter.  He received a letter from this law firm - and pictures - of the car that was already off the road stating that my son had hit this car and done 11,000.00 damage and he would lose his license if he didn't pay it.  There wasn't anyone around when my son went off the road so he had to walk to find some help.  No police report was filed in his presence nor insurance companies exchanged.  When he got back to the site all the vehicles (3) had been towed.  I think this is a scam

Received two letters in mail claiming I am responsible for damages related in a auto accident that never happened!!! My name was misspelled and address was off by one letter!!! Has to be a scam preying on people's fear and naiveness!!! Don't fall for the scam!!!

Something sent via the mail is the domain of the Postmaster.  You can file a complaint and have this investigated by either taking it to the local postmaster or here:

These people are full of it. They have wrong info all the time. They do not verify 100 percent as you say.

The person I hit was a Paul which would prove that they are running a scam. Anyone with a little bit of smarts can become a lawyer and set up a website. They have a ad on their site for Subrogation workers, which means they hire people to handle collections for companies. An actual law firm would hire through a career agency...

The letter Wilber Lane Law sent me was claiming that I hit a woman named Susan Wilson. The person Involved in the accident I had was a guy named Paul and last name was even different as well. This should prove to people that they are running a scam. Anyone with a little bit of smarts can become a lawyer and set up a website. Im going down to my local court house to file a claim against them and ask the court to put a stop to the harassing calls and letters...

Wilber and Assoicates.   AKA Wilber Law Firm and other associated names.   Long history of questionable insurance collection practices centering around questionable accidents they try to pin on people they call.  Be careful if you receive a call from these people.  One of their favorite tricks is to tell people that they will suspend their DL if they don't cooperate.  If they start that stuff, just hang up on 'em.  Report 'em to your local state department of insurance!  Don't put up with their nonsense for one minute!

I got a call today from them. It was on my message machine saying that Sept 22nd,my tree fell on a insured property..problem is,I haven't lived in the address for about 7 years! Haha. These people are a joke and I can't wait to talk to them. Bet I will be recording the whole conversation too!

Sept 22nd,2014 is when "This" happened. And I wasn't even on the lease at that house

I got a call from them today,but I didn't answer. They left a message saying that an incident happened Sept. 22,2014 where "My" tree fell onto an insured property. They gave me the address that I lived at,which I never lived at the address. I lived maybe 50 houses down from where this "happened".  Another thing is,is that I wasn't ever on the lease to the house because I was staying there with an ex that already lived there before I came in the picture. Also,I haven't lived in the house since about 7 years ago. Funny [***] and I can't wait to talk to them tomorrow and I will make sure I record the whole thing myself.

You all that work for Wilber Lane Law Firm must live a miserable existence harassing people that you THINK you know. You should know that if you treat people with kindness and understanding you would probably be much more successful at collecting on these claims.  I really hope that there is something in your life that brings good to the world.

What really sucks is getting into an accident with some [***] that did not bother to take out automobile insurance. Then when they have to pay for the claim they "cry foul" and "pity me" because I just being victimized. Shut the f...up! You guys are losers and will always be losers. The nice thing is that your car is now mess up good and you have to pay for the damages yourself.................LoL...................I had insurance and they paid for my repairs! Losers!

You obviously get very defensive when someone talks truth about the stress and harrasment they have caused innocent people. If you do YOUR unbiased homework on your favorite crooked debt collector, you would Cleary see that they ARE considered a collection agency. And since you embarrass yourself making excuse after excuse for them why not go ahead and let us all know why they are so rude and hateful and hang up the phone on people. Not to mention the lack of police reports related to the "case".

That's happening to me

Paid off a claim to them through liberty mutual for an accident my daughter had in our vehicle but didn't turn it into our insurance.  We paid them almost $2000.  When I call that number now it just beeps really fast and doesn't collect or ring

Same thing happened to me. I was called by this company stating that I owe $803.06 I just tried to contact them and the phone numbers are disconnected. Somebody did something right.
