they called, i didn't answer because i didn't know who it was, but if they call again, i'll answer and mess with them a little bit.

I received 2 calls on Sept 1st and 1 call on Sept 4th on my mobile phone.  I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number and no messages were left.

tried to call this number back as it was a call at nine thirty at night stating AUTO FOLLOW UP ON THE CALLER ID...................

Been calling my cell phone for like, 3 weeks of and on. One time I answered it without looking at the # and the male voice on the other end asked if I was (First & last Name)I hung up. Anyone else have them try to confirm who who were by stated a name?

Called, went through answering machine. No message.

Have been getting calls in the evening every night this week.  They call about the same time and never leave messages.  The area code is Los Angeles, CA.

Called saturday morning at 11am and didn't leave a message.  From the rest of the posts, this sounds like a company that solicits on behalf of other companies (car dealerships, etc.).  I expect another call, based on what other are saying, and I plan to answer and request to be removed from the list.  I believe that -- by law -- they have to honor this request.

I called the number back, and the recording said they were a marketing company doing surveys and research.  You can call the following number and be added to their Do Not Call List within 2 days: (866) 320-4607.

Received a call from this # about 10am.  Did not answer because i don't know anyone in California.  How do i stop this happening in the future?

I also visited the car dealership last week for an oil change and this number was from a research company asking about the service at the dealership.

Companies you do business with hire these folks to call you and ask about the service you received. The past three times I have had my car worked on at the dealership, these people called. Ignoring the call won't help. They'll keep calling until you answer! Next time they call tell them you will not do business with the company again should they continue to give your number out.

its been calling me 4 ever

I keep getting the same call from the exact same number. Have you had a chance to get a hold of anybody to stop these calls?

If you see the number come up, answer and state " please DO NOT CALL ME again!" and hang up.without saying hello or any other dialog.  The calls have terminated ever since.   ( 4 weeks )    tlg is correct

Received call this evening (26SEP07, 1900h). Caller identification was "Auto Follow-up." Since I know nothing of this telephone number, I ignored it.

That's the first step. They confirmed your financial institute. Don't make it easy for them.

I just realized a connection.  I have been receiving calls from this number and 3 others, all connected to Synovate.  Has anyone else purchased a car in the last few days?  I did on Monday and the calls started the very next day.

Received two phone calls today after taking in my work van into a shop. The number given buy tlg is correct for being placed on the do not call list. Thanks tlg for making my life easier

I've been getting calls from this number about twice a day on my cell, although some days its just once.  I don't answer numbers I don't recognise, especially when they are half a country away!

I don't give out my number, or enter sweepstakes etc ... what gives?! How can we get rid of these jerks?

Called home phone # asking for date 0f Birth, work info and if used PC at home.  Name used was same as an auto dealer in this area.
