Anyone that can dial numbers from 0 to 9 can dial your number and be connected.  The difference in that they need to know who the number belongs to in order to know who they are talking to.

That's who they claim to be but the cdc survey specifically says it would be from +1 (312) 578-7015 NOT +1 (312) 578-7017. I called the number actually listed on the CDC website and got a message indicating that the survey they claimed to be calling about had ended. I would be extremely careful providing any personal information to whoever is calling from this number.

Caller claimed to be doing survey for Center for Disease Control. Gave his name as Eric and hung up right after saying his name.

He got a live voice, probably enough for him to make some money. Foil his plans by not answering at all if you can do it.

They called and left message asking us to return the call at a different toll free number in regard to a nationwide survey for Center for Disease Control and Prevention on childhood immunizations.  Wanted to know if we had kids 12 mos. to 4 years of age.
Well.....we are in a 55 and over community.  In our 70's.  No kids or grandkids and definitely no call back from us!

I got hit with this number twice. It called me on the 15th of June at 9:00 AM Mountain time, and did so again today at 3:45 PM Mountain time. No voicemail message was left and judging by the recent posts many of you have made, I suspect it's a pseudo  solicitation call. I did not answer the call in both instances which is probably the smart thing to do if you're getting calls from this number. Just flat out don't answer it. Even if the caller claims to be who it is or otherwise, it's not worth answering calls from this number.

They called at 10:30 pm Pacific time.... didn't awnser.... pretty late for Chicago....

She call and talking on behalf of public health and interviews

After several calls from this same number, it finally left a message on my cell identifying as someone calling on behalf of the Centers for Disease Control. Voicemail was left at 8:35 PM Mountain time, but as of this post, it has since been deleted. What the heck does the CDC want from me anyways? I'm not participating in this stupid phone survey they keep soliciting me about. One more call from this number and I'm really gonna explode. I've had enough with whoever's been dialing my cell phone number.

Oh, really? Well then, why haven't they sent anyone out to my neck of the woods if cold calling people at random about this survey is not the kind of tactic they use? I got no mail from them. No email. So, somebody's playing a fool of sorts to get someone like me to think they are from the CDC. I'm calling whoever is dialing from this number on his or her bluff. They can't fool me anymore. I now know how underhanded this caller is becoming.

Because it's a SCAM! Plus, if you actually think about it, the CDC probably wouldn't have a 312 number (could be wrong though)

Another late stupid phone call at night....no message

Received call - missed answering, first time - called back  a male sounding either drunk or drugged finally answered,  Wanted to know if I had children and had they had their shots, I hung up.  Been getting a call nightly on or around 08:30 pm, have not answered but it has reached annoyed level with me.  Going to contact office here in Maine.

I don't want unsolicited phone calls from a phone # I don't know who it is we don't have any business I want the calls stopped immediately they have been calling since 6-20-2016 they are also calling my house phone as well as my cell phone I am sick and tired of being interrupted with nonsense when I try to answer I get computer feed back please stop all contact please
