- Bryan| 2 repliesInfo pulled straight off of cdc.gov. If you don't have 15 minutes to answer the questions for the survey just don't do it.
A: The surveys are conducted on behalf of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and are authorized by the Public Health Service Act [Section 306]. The phone surveys provide important information about childhood vaccinations and related health issues. If you received a call or a letter and have any questions about these surveys, please call the survey contractor, NORC, toll-free at 1-877-220-4805. Someone is usually available to answer the phone from 9AM to 9PM in your time zone. If possible, please call from the same phone line that received the call from 312-578-7017. This helps us more quickly direct your call to someone who can answer your questions. If you leave a message, we try to return all calls received between 9AM and 9PM within one to two hours.- Caller: Cdc 312-578-7017.

- CWG40 replies to adrienneThere's no way of stopping the calls from being initiated. Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.
- EricNo message, just talking in the background
- Ian| 1 replyThis is a legitimate survey done by the CDC to determine what portion of the population is vaccinated against communicable diseases and federal law ensures that they will not share information you give them or use it for any other purpose. The number is listed on their site at http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/imz-managers/nis/index.html

- Deb Sterzingerrec'd call, did not answer
- Marie Rogers| 2 repliesThis is a legitimate call. Mailers were sent out weeks ago from the government saying these calls would be made. The CDC is trying to get a handle on possible upcoming outbreaks of illnesses that mostly affect children due to all of the people who are not having their kids vaccinated. Take a look at what is going on in Arizona right now with the measles outbreak. It's a simple survey that could help children. It's not a prank or a scam.

- PearlAn immunization survey for children up to 4 years old I think she said. I don't have kids, so that's all the questions they had for me. I asked the purpose of the survey, and she said it was so everyone that wanted to get vaccinations would be able to. Nice young lady. She said she was taking me off the call list.

- StephenThe female started with this lengthy opening and first question was if I was doing drugs at the present time. That was when I told her I was on the DNC list and I couldn't believe anyone would answer invasive and inappropriate question like that. She actually didn't hang up but after reading below the information that the actual CDC survey is over and the number is not the correct number, topped with info on their website confirming that, now it just makes me MAD. I'm not sure if there is a scam involved, but callers trying to get info to steal your money or asserts makes me sick. They are really the lowest scums on earth.
- StephenThe fact that when you Google this number and the CDC doesn't come up anywhere around, that should tell us something. If this was their number, I think it would be somewhere
- doNothingI am also among those who have been called. Perhaps this is a political call.
